Eat and drink with the philosophers for it is them who tell you why you should be here. And they cannot be denied !
Therefore if you happen to be in the neighborhood a visit at “Le Terme” will not only be a delight but a highlight in true informal Italian style. Which of course is a style in its own.
You can choose to sit inside in a newly and tastefully decorated roomy dining area with some lovely twists or on the spacious patios and really dine out with the stars.
Here you will find romantic couples of all ages, a group of young people who still know how to start a good night out and families and friends that keep up the best of traditions. And that is not a pizza.
The owner Stefano will personally come to your table and present the menu in his typical humble ways all the while proud of the quality he has on offer. And quality is what you get.
At “Le Terme” you get to eat the best and freshest fishes from the nearby sea as well as from the lake. The ones you know and the ones you would never have known about. You will just have to find out what is on offer.
Freshness and quality being determinative to present it to you. The same goes for the locally grown vegetables. For where else do you get delightfully fresh porcini in June ?
Eating at this fish restaurant is a feast for all the senses, that is a fact. Noblesse oblige, the very thoughtful waiting adds to that.
Being pesco-vegetarians we cannot tell you about the meat from our own experience but we do stand by our vows we have seen some happy faces as they munched away on their bistecca amongst other.
The wine is chosen in the same way as the food. It only comes in the house after a long search for quality and a dignified tasting session by experts. And you still pay a very good price.
As you will see when you enter the osteria they go by Goethe’s words that are carved in the wall : “Life is so short do drink mediocre wine”. I rest my case. Now it is up to you to go and taste !
But don’t forget to book a table in advance if you decide to go on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night.
Grazie Stefano. A presto.
