“Country side luxury!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2013

We had two days left of our vacation and were flying back from Venice. After 10 days in Croatia we had not booked any hotel and searched for a 4 star hotel in Veneto and Villa Luppis in the country side came up on the list. We didn´t want a seaside hotel so this was perfect! What a fantastic place. Park area, fountains, pool, old monestary renovated to hotel. We took the junior suite and enjoyed every minute of our stay. There was a wedding when we arrived in one part of the hotel. We had dinner on the other side, with music and fantastic atmosphere and the FOOD....2 star michellin chef is now working at the hotel. What luck we had! How could we have been so lucky to find this place.
Service was perfect, you feel welcome and we enjojed the pool too!
We will tell all our friends to come here.

We wanted a base from which to explore the Veneto and Friuli prior to attending a family wedding on Lago di Como. We selected the Hotel Villa Luppis from the J Moser site for a 5 night stay and it was perfect! Our suite was spacious and comfortable, the grounds lovely and peaceful, the 11th century structure added the authentic Italian atmosphere, and the restaurant was excellent. Most importantly, the staff was extremely helpful. Stephania from the owning family was invaluable with her assistance in selecting places to visit and her concern for our comfort. The rest of the staff was equally gracious including the sweet Antonella at reception and the restaurant waitstaff headed by the charming duo, Fabio and Fabrizio. After day trips to Venice, Cortina, Caore on the Adriatic and more, it was like returning home for a relaxing evening and dinner. Should our travels take us in that area again, we will definitely return.

Hotel Villa Luppis may feel its in the middle of nowhere but it was a good location for us as we were returning from the Postojna caves in Slovenia (well worth visiting) and wanted to have some of the journey back to Verona/Garda covered.
Hotel Villa Luppis is nearly mid way between Postojna and Verona so its a good option for this.

We arrived in the late evening and the hotel was very quiet but looked beautiful. The restaurant had some reasonably priced pasta dishes and the terrace is a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the hotel.

The room we got overlooked the front of the hotel grounds, it had a big old fashioned bed. The roof had exposed wooden beams and plenty of space. The bed was decorated in old style colourful bedding which suited the charm and feel of the place. Next day I saw some of the other rooms and I definitely preferred ours. This is not a chain hotel so if you arent pleased with your room, there may be nicer ones available (worth asking perhaps).

The next day we strolled the grounds of the hotel. It was a beautiful place to stroll around, it was mid September and very quiet so it had a slightly decaying Great Gatsby feel to it, but thats what was lovely about it. The feeling of an old world place.

Breakfast out on the terrace was the best we had in Italy, especially good if you are a fan of breakfast cakes and tarts.

We didn't avail of the tennis court (in bit of disrepair) or the pool.

We had free wifi in the room with a code from reception.

This place is remarkable! They staff look after every detail. I am sad to go, and hope to return very soon. They are wonderful here. Why would you stay in a chain when this place is as perfect as it is?!?

Absolutely fabulous place. It is not the five-star experience you get from chain hotels, but the Luppis offers something else.
It has a secluded park a sort of miniature Versailles, a pool area and while walking the corridors you feel like you could meet a ghost...

Everything is a little run-down, but this only adds to it charm. You get to have breakfast in the park and the hotels own restoran is good even by Italian standards.

The owner works there daily and she and her staff are very helpfull.

I was there on a combined business/holiday trip. We ended up staying there for 3 nights in stead of the intended 1. Also my 4 and 5 year old boys loved the place.

Highlight of our five different hotels in Italy during a business trip. The whole place is really amazing in terms of detail and ambience. The team that run it are really great and as for the restaurant staff...... Superb! The cuisine is outstanding and they also carry great wines. Must dine restaurant with a two star Mich chef. If I was going back soon, it is the ideal getaway place to stay. Would also be great for private functions!

Privately owned by the Luppis family (Stefania Luppis has the Eagle eye and works in the business every day and does not just look at the P&L accounts remotely)this Country House Hotel is really excellent.
If we believe that Hospitality is still alive in 2012 then they have the magic here with very good very caring staff whom smile pre empt and show interest in there customers.

Supporting a business like Villa Luppis is important as Hotels become more and more branded with there modern day Impersonnal styles and concepts where robots perform the set approach and customer care comes last in a great number of cases.

This Hotel tries to be many things to many peoples in the modern economic climate as does anywhere which is real.So the occasional Wedding may appear or a stay over for business people visiting the area. However passion and care here is very evident.

There are hundreds of Clocks on display (thankfully not ticking) and whilst Villa Luppis tries to be all things to everyone and does not always get it right 100% and it is in need of a little more investment here and there overall we completely loved it.
Villa Luppis the former Summer home of Napoloen Bonaparte (indeed)is hidden away from the hassle and bustle of the world yet easily accesses Cities , Venice , the Sea , Industry or the Italian Alps. This we liked and not a Pizza in sight.

The food was very good ..we ate at dinner seven nights and lunch six times and we found the Staff of Fabio , Fabrizio and Sanja great(the Chef we didn't meet but he needs keeping at Villa Luppis).

Families with noisy Kids and uncouth Parents maybe are more suited to elsewhere as they would spoil the tranquility here.

Keep at it Villa Luppis
