I was slightly worried when I read some of the awful reviews about the hotel online. The people were friendly and the pool was always clean. Me and my boyfriend had an amazing week for what we paid. The food was not amazing, but for what we paid, it was good.
Our room was modern and very beautiful.
Also the mini bus into town was very useful, and it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of town

Me and my partner have just arrived from a week at the pantheon and to be honest I find it insulting the previous reviews say I must work for them ti write a good review, Me and my partner were the youngest couple there and had no issues with it.

Firstly the staff are fantastic, in particular Maria, Angel and the woman who makes cocktails, as for stavros the night porter, he is only doing his job.

The food isnt gourmet but you certainly will not go hungry, the Greek night is fantastic, however the disco not so much, there is a little shop up the road but everything else is a (free minibus) ride away into town the beach is fantastic by the way.

My only problem is that the hotel could be better organized and the entertainment a little better however one night we requested music and we got it which was good. Met some great people and do not believe the bad reviews Pantheon have recieved are unjustified and unfair me and my partner had a fantastic time!

When we arrived to the hotel we found it totally unacceptable and different from what was described on the website. Our room was dirty, the baby’s cot was stained and broken, staff at reception and at the bar were rude and unhelpful. We found that alcohol drinks were very low quality and “All Inclusive alcohol” starts only after 6pm. The most disgusting thing was the food, which was all covered by flies. In addition, when it was +32C degrees outside staff requested us to pay for air conditioning in the room. Most of the people who stayed in the hotel were very unhappy. As we did not have a travel representative we tried to collect a petition about the unhygienic conditions in the hotel and send it to local authorities.

Just returned from a great 12 days all inclusive at Hotel Pantheon. We felt it was very good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Its a quiet, small hotel, a little out of the way. If you want sausage and chips, and to drink lots of beer and a party atmosphere then this isn't the hotel for you - but if you want a small, quiet, relaxing hotel to chill out then it should suit you. We enjoyed the food which is cooked in the Greek style and was good value, especially considering what we paid. The pool always had free sunloungers throughout the day so no getting up at 7am to put your towels on a sunbed - no need ! and was very quiet, as were the evenings in the bar which meant no noise to disturb our daughter when she went to bed. The Greek night was a bit of fun with visiting greek traditional dancers who got everyone involved !. The free shuttle minibus runs to the town and back through the day and worked efficiently and meant we had a few days out in Rhythmno town - I would recommend a visit to the fortress just for the views, and would especially recommend the frozen greek yoghurt next to the fountain - delicious ! Free wifi in the bar is also good, and the English speaking receptionists are really helpful if you take the time to talk to them. The rooms are really nice, and are also clean. Air con was an extra 4 Euros a day. I think the hotel presents good value for money for a quiet, relaxing holiday. We intend to visit again next year.

My review on this hotel is the truth. It has bad reviews for a reason!!! Its awfull. The service is poor yes there was one kind off friendly women on reception but that was it.The night porter is probably one off the rudest individuals i have ever met in my life. Its not all inclusive the food is AWFULL and the soft and alcholic drinks are BAD too. I dont expect english meals on the menu but what i do expect is 3 star food. Ì dont no where to start if i got into detail about the food but its very bad. 1 star is on the menu is what to expect.Me and my partner ate out most nights and did not even bother with breakfast. The pool is ok but the bar at the pool is never open. The entertainment is pointless so take some cards with u !!You can get a bus to the city which is free but thats the only bit off good service u will recive by the hotel. I honestly belive that anyone who writes postive reviews on this hotel is either staff or not mentally stable and i say this because when i was at this hotel there was not a person who had anything positive to say about the hotel. I dont have children but I felt sorry for the kids and parents as there is just nothing for them to do after they have been in the pool. If you are just looking for a roof over your head then go but thats all its good for.

Very nervous before leaving as the reviews on here are, on the whole, terrible. Shouldn't have worried as we had a great time.
A lot of the bad reviews seem to have been written by the same group of people as they are quite similar and seem to focus on bad food (they must have been expecting egg & chips!, YOU'RE IN GREECE!). and miserable staff (rubbish!).
The food, whereas not gourmet, was very good. There is plenty to choose from, both hot and cold and myself, wife and 2 kids were in no danger of going hungry. They also have a barbecue a couple of times a week which is excellent.
As for miserable or rude staff I have no idea where those comments come from as the staff were all polite and helpful, especially the girl at reception, Vaso, who always has a smile, is eager to help and always made an effort laughing and joking with the children.
The location of the hotel is (as advertised) in a quiet location, not within walking distance of the nearest town Rethymno, but the hotel has a free mini bus shuttle service running 6 times a day (you have to book at reception) that took us into town and also brought us back so the location was actually a plus for us as there was no noise once we wanted to go to bed.
The all-inclusive package, which we went for, is not as unlimited as some others we have tried but, then again, it didn't cost nearly as much either. All meals are included. Tea & coffee, local beer, red & white wine, Raki and soft drinks all day up to 11p.m, free cocktails between 4-5pm and Ouzo and local Metaxa included from 6pm til 11. There are ice creams from 12pm til 6pm and they bring out cakes & buscuits at 4pm.
The hotel is 3 star and I certainly feel we got more than we were expecting so, all-in-all, we wouldn't hesitate to book again next year.
Thank you hotel Pantheon for helping to make our honeymoon special and we hope to see you again.

we just got back from this hotel .... some reviews are unfair the hotel is nice clean and well laid out...i dont think as all inclusive it is worth the money you can go half board with supermarket not far buy your own drinks and have what you want ... very short in selection of drinks ... food was
good something for everyone its greek food so dont expect english ... for 8 euro you can grab a taxi to the port were you have great night life and bars that stay open till early hours... the staff were great my only grumble was fun at hotel was very limited with things being turned of at 11 .. a night of greek dancing and a disco which was a some music being played slightly louder than other times..
We met some fantastic people had alot of fun and laughter we made the holiday our own we went to the harbour most evenings so depending if you want quite or more you have the choice. My thoughts of improving things are more entertainment more variety on drinks selection
there cutting costs on things when it had been paid for .. half board yes all inclusive no .. hotel lovely and ty to the staff for all there hard work :)
