“Relaxing stay in the sun and good value for money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2012

Quiet hotel with friendly staff, a few miles outside of Naxos Town. A great garden and pool and we spent most of our time relaxing there, recovering from the awful English summer. Nice breakfast and snacks at outside bar and decent restaurants nearby. Had to mark down a bit because they didn't have a restaurant, but it didn't worry us. We were well satisfied for the price and will certainly come back.

The first thing we saw when we arrived was the gorgeous garden and pool with a breathtaking view over the Aegean and we thought 'Uh, uh, this is going to be reflected in the price.' Not so. Our room was spacious and clean, with a great sea view and we paid far less than in other hotels we'd visited whilst island hopping. The breakfast was included in the price and offered variety, not just croissant and coffee. The hotel is at Agios Prokopios, some distance away from the main town of Chora, taxis about €7-8, and the beach of Agios Prokopis was practically deserted. Staff were really helpful and organised a tour around the island for us. No restaurant in the hotel, but not needed as Avali Restaurant about 10 minutes away and it was worth more than one visit. Also worth mentioning the poolside bar, with bar snacks, and the well cared for hotel cats that live in the garden. If you're looking for luxury and action this is probably not the hotel for you, but for peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings you couldn't do better than the Lianos Village.

Room Tip: Try for a room overlooking the gardens - magic.

We stayed here mid June 2012 . This was our third island and as many hotels . It wasn't the cheapest on our 5 island tour , but it was the one we stayed the longest , and the one we wished we hadn't stayed so long .
Rooms were spacious and relatively clean . Yes showers are small and tight . We had an upper level room facing west . Not a bad view . No wifi in the rooms ! Yes this sucked ! There are LAN line plugs in the rooms , which doesn't work for iPad or iPhones . Wifi only in lobby .
No porter to carry your bags up the stairs . No mini bar , just a fridge to store your own supplies .
The staff were not unfriendly , just not like the typical Greeks that go out of their way to make you feel comfortable . The place only seemed about 25 percent full . So it's not like they were too busy . We did see the owner a few times , but he made no effort to meet us or introduce himself .
Breakfast was very cheap . The typical continental , eggs , little sausage , breads , cheese , yogurt . Powdered juices (who does this?) not much fruit either . They had oranges and watermelon , and the other stuff was canned ( who does this ?)
No pick up from the port . They did arrange a cab for us . The walk to the beach is not so bad . It was windy like crazy the day we tried it , so we didn't stay long .
The pool was ok , and nice suntan beds and umbrellas . We didn't have a problem getting a bed as it as not busy this week we stayed .

Room Tip: West facing , so you can have some sun in the evening .

Stayed there 3 nights with my wife. It was still low season, we got one of the nicest rooms on 2nd floor with view on the bay and pool. Room was big enough and clean. We enjoyed the sunrise from the outdoor breakfast area and the sunset from the pool. The area is quiet and the staff is helpfull. Car is an must absolut must.

I very much enjoyed my stay here - had a lovely sized room and balcony with view over the pool and out across the bay. (2nd fl). The 'cottage' style rooms are also very nice with their own small patio but not all of these have lovely views - and as reported, the gardens are lovely. As one reviewer said, the showers are small and the curtain quite difficult to position so that you don't flood the bathroom floor - but - it can be done with a bit of care. I found all of the staff very helpful and polite and friendly. As also reported elsewhere: the pool is a fantastic area and one can get a nice snack for lunch; Avali restaurant down on the beach (10-15 mins walk) if fabulous, lunch or dinner; yes, 12-15 minute walk to bus stop - I was told that if you walk to the busstop you might as well continue on walking into town; yes, very quite and peaceful; A car is a definite advantage as taxis come from Naxos town generally and they charge for the fare from Naxos town then to your destination. There are some great restaurants in Ag. Prokopios and in the surrounding areas - Plaka being one. The Old Town in Naxos Town is a great place to walk around and eat at. I do feel that the hotel is somewhat overpriced - we paid 86 Euros, I think, per night for Aug/Sept 2011. I personally thought the breakfast was excellent. As I had my own laptop so I did not have a problem - but as said by others, there is access to internet in reception. Although I have rated the restaurant as v.good - it is not really a restaurant as they only do breakfast and lunch. Overall I would recommed this place to all.

Stayed here for five nights and it was great. The room was beautful, big and comfortable with a four poster bed. The gardens are magnificant with a beautiful pool which I had to myself for a lot of the time. They have free internet for customers. For the price I paid, circa €65 per night it was wonderful. The service was for the most part excellent apart from a horrible female receptionist who worked during the day. She was downright rude - but then again there's always one! Special mention to the charming and helpful young man who worked reception and general duties during the day.
Lianos village is a little way outside Naxos town but there is a bus circa ten minutes walk away. For it being out of town though you get peace and quiet and walking distance to great beaches. If you go go be sure to visit the Avali Restaurant at the beach nearby Agios Prokopios - fabulous!

Although I agree with most previous reviews on a couple of things I can't really give this one a thumbs up. First the good, yes the property is beautiful and the view amazing if you are on the second floor. We were not but still found it good. The breakfast was adequate and the pool bar staff very friendly. Now the bad, it is not a 5 minute walk to the beach, not even by a young fit person. The beds are hard and after sleeping on them for three days my back is in bad shape. There is not FREE WiFi in the entire hotel as advertised, rather it is available only in the lobby or if you have a laptop with a cable you can plug in in your room. Since I operate mostly with wireless on my Ipod I found this a huge inconvenience and an untruth. But here's what really bugged me. The attitude of the staff really poor. They were incredibly unfriendly to us and I was glad to see the backside of them. In case you are wondering, I am a fairly seasoned traveler and not particularly hard to please but I feel that for the money charged for this room things could definitely be better.
