We visited Fort Ghazi Mustapha last July (2012) as we just fancied a few hours out of the hotel. We went by taxi from the hotel and he dropped us just outside the fort. He mentioned that if we walked down the road opposite the Fort we would see the market and then reach the main town with shops etc. My son enjoyed the Fort as you had lots of space to explore he thought he was Indiana Jones. There isn’t much to see as it’s really just stone and the museum is very small but it was a nice couple of hours. We walked around the outside of the fort and saw an open theatre and a man trying to fish. The walk down through the market was an experience. We went in July as was extremely hot as there was no wind so just remember to take plenty of suncream and water. If you are not very mobile then I would give this a miss as there are a few stairs and uneven walk areas.
