We only had three nights at Fountain Place and needed longer to really appreciate the lovely surroundings of this beautiful place.
The whole experience was lovely from the beautiful suite we stayed in, and the delicious breakfast to the whole ambience created by the amazing fountains and gardens. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and we loved chatting to them.
It was an absolute treat to stay there and feel special.
We loved the fact that we had a separate lounge with a comfy couch and a fridge as part of our suite.
The bedroom, lounge and bathroom were all clean and tastefully furnished and we will definitely be back (maybe in the winter so that we can enjoy the fireplace in the bedroom!).

Room Tip: Both the suites are identical and open on to the courtyard

A delightfully situated guest house in this small attractive town. Mark was most welcoming and we enjoyed hearing about the locality as we sat and watched the sun set in the beautifully maintained garden. The restaurant recommendation for the evening was spot on and a pleasant c hange to be able to walk back to the guest house after dinner.
Accommodation well appointed and beds very comfortable and delicious breakfast before we set out the following morning

Last weekend we spend in McGregor for a birthday party and stayed at the Fountain Place. Mark maade us feel at home when we arrived far too early. We didn't rally have timeto fully uppreciate our suite but thoroughly enjoyed the excelelnt breakfast Mark dished up for us the next morning. We will certainly come back again to McGregor and to the Fountin Place.

Fountain Place is very small, just two suites with a sitting room and bedroom plus shower-room. Jane and Mark look after you as soon as you arrive, booking restaurants, which are surprisingly plentiful in this little town and helping with your itinerary. The rooms are very comfortable and McGregor is a delight. Breakfast is served outside except when cold which it can be in the South African winter. The price is very reasonable for what is provided.

Fountain Place seems to be one of those establishments where you feel at home immediately. Jane and Mark are attentive hosts, without feeling intrusive in any way. The rooms are comfortable, the gardens pleasant, with plenty of birds, and breakfasts on the patio in the cool of the morning was very special. We had such a good time that 2 nights weren't enough, so we took them up on their offer of a 3rd night free, which is a hard deal to resist!

Room Tip: Both rooms seem equally good, and they also have some self-catering cottages, which might be a bette...

The welcome we received on arrival at Almond and Plum cottages was as warm as the temperature, 40 degrees! Jane and Mark were gracious and available hosts and the cottages were excellently appointed. We had a wonderful family holiday over the Christmas period and will certainly be back for more.

We were welcomed by Jane and Mark, our stay was excellent, breakfast was very good, quiet surroundings and great attention to detail. Situated close to great restaurants in the centre of McGregor. We found the rooms spacious and comfortable.
