Summary:

A decent family hotel at slightly high price point with decent amenities for a comfortable family holiday. It is more of a 4 star hotel than 5 star.

Why I would come back:

- Friendly staff
- Good location with nice views from the Ocean view suite.
- Clean rooms that are fairly well kept.
- Information easily and readily available for what to do.
- Good hotel transportation service with English speaking driver.
- Nice breakfast with great serving staff. The A La Carte options are not well advertised but are included in the breakfast price and are not extra so ask for a menu.
- Good room service.
- Nice bathroom and showers.

Why I wouldn't come back:

- Beach is below average and if you want a beach then you have to leave the hotel and travel for about 20-30 mins by car.
- Room fit out is basic and very little furniture in even the most expensive chalet/suite.
- Room size is small.
- I think you can probably get more for the price at another branded resort.

Feedback to Management:

- I paid $1,000 per night for my ocean view suite but I was disappointed at the lack of furniture in the room. There is nowhere to sit in the room and a simple wooden bench in the balcony which is very uncomfortable to sit on for more than 10 minutes. The only place to sit is on the bed. This means you don't fully enjoy the ocean which is what you pay for.
- My kids stayed in the room downstairs in the chalet and there is no phone between the two rooms which meant that if we wanted to check on them or talk to them we had to leave our room, go down and talk to them. Massively inconvenient in the morning and at night.
- The flooring used in the bathrooms is very slippery and we all slipped several times during our 4 day stay.
- The glass on the balcony entrance is a hazard as it is very clean with no markings and the reflection in the night means you can't see the glass and on several occasions you are about to crash into the door. On the last night my wife did badly bruising her nose.
- There should be an evening turn down service as it would be nice to get the bed freshened again considering there is no where to sit in the room other than the bed during the day.

On the whole a pretty average stay. I certainly don't leave disappointed but I also don't see myself staying at the same resort again the next time.

Perfect place to find peacefulness and a buzyness hideaway. The staffs are very friendly & helpful and the hotel facilities are great. The room itself is awesome especially if you stay in panoramic or ocean front pool villa (not forget to mention about the private infinity pool inside the villa ). Highly recommended accomodation in Samui!

We stayed in pool villa and very amazed with the stunning view. The villa was modern-contemporary design with large bed face out to the sea, bathtub next to a private pool (jacuzzi function is available in the pool), rain-shower. The private balcony was nice with dinning table, sun-bed, sofa to lay-down during the day. The room was really clean.

The beach was not really impressive but understandable as the resort itself is located slightly up to the hill.

The existing restaurant was relatively small but they will move to their new extension building soon. The new one is much bigger and nicer with roof-top bar on top also, new swimming pool and pool bar too. The breakfast at the restaurant was quite ordinary nothing fancy. Try their fresh juice bar then.

The pool villa was lack of privacy as each villa is quite close to each other and there were only partly wooden wall around the villa. So, you could actually see your neighbor swim in their pool.

Trip: It would be fun, if you also rent a car to explore Samui. There are many good Thai restaurants and bars to hop around the island.

Silavadee is divine. I was supposed to go to a woman and not a friend. All villas are fabulous, made from natural, inexpensive materials that are phenomenally processed and embedded in the environment. Passionately romantic place, a quiet place, harmoniously ... The beach is fine sand but in a sea of sharp stones so that children would not be pleasant. Villa was always clean, the maid did not know. A little more mosquitoes, but they leave for you, all possible means in the room against it. Best to take a rent a car for any major tour in a day or two.

Room Tip: Vila is the best choice.

We liked the quiet location and natural disign (wich is the strongest feature of this hotel). However service really lucks improovment. The staff forgot to arrange transfer for us TWICE. We informed the hotel about our honeymoon in advince, but the room was not ready at time and was not even simply decorated. The food at the restaurant was the worst we tried in Thailand, even Thai food was bad.

We have just finished a 5 night stay at the resort and cannot thank them enough. We literally cannot think of one thing they could possibly do better. The villas are outstanding and you are well looked after from the moment you arrive. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is great. This place is truly heaven on earth and I hope we can return one day.

I stayed in a villa with my partner for 8 days from the 11th November, the room was breathtaking we had our own private pool which was out of this world, the resort is outstanding and well maintained, from the moment we were greeted at the reception we was made to feel like royalty, the staff speak brilliant english, every member of staff we came into contact with went above and beyond, the private beach was rocky but shoes were provided so not the slightest problem snorkelling equipment, life jackets and kayaks were also provided, the two swimming pools were gorgeous with clean towels available, we did a cooking class which was a highlight, The cleanliness of the room was beyond expectations, every night we were brought cookies before bed from the maids water was well stocked throughout the day, breakfast was lovely, we ordered room service a couple of nights which was really reasonable, the evening meals in the resuaurant is also lovely just remember to reserve your table in advance. I really cannot rate this resort highly enough we cannot wait to return!
