Once again, excellent facilities and hospitality thanks to Steve. Can't fault this property. Just take your own toileteries and teabags and be prepared to fill the fridge with your own goodies. Look forward to visiting again next year

We were part of a large wedding party and all of Steves rooms were taken up by our group for over 10 days.
Steve organised our friends entire wedding for which was fantastic and the bride and groom was overwhelmed, Infact we were all overwhelmed ..!! It was the most beautiful setting for a wedding on a hillside overlooking crystal bay. The food and entertainmemt was fantastic ..If you want to get married here ask steve ..

This was our second stay at Chaulty and because our stay was so good last year the friends we met here stuart and Jamie decided to get married and very kindly invited us.
Steve as usual was a great host and a great friend, anyone staying here will leave as friends because steve is so welcoming along with his lovely wife ore and beautiful daughter Sarah ... Oh we can't forget Rambo the dog .. !! We love this place so much we are planning another visit Christmas ... Cheers "ledge" for another great stay at Chaulty ... We will miss you all ... Xxxxxxxxx

Steve met us from the beautiful Samui airport and drove us to his hotel for a very reasonable price. He gave us lots of useful advice throughout our stay and offered us lifts into town daily. He also took us out for some terrific nights of entertainment including a roast dinner, night market, live music with his excellent band and Thai boxing entertainment. I always felt at home and it was a great atmosphere with all the other guests becoming instant friends too. Steve offered to cook for us and there was a 24 hour bar facility with an excellent little swimming pool, jacuzzi and pool table. The hotel is located along a quiet residential road with a nearby friendly gym if you fancy a workout to conteract all the great food on offer in Lamai. Everything is within easy walking distance, including a quiet beach, supermarkets, cheap local restaurants and bars. For me the area was an ideal balance of nightlife, beach and a quiet relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were clean and had everything you could wish for. Excellent value for money and I felt very relaxed throughout my stay. The hotel is a great little sun trap. I would definitely stay again and whether you are travelling in a group, as a couple or going solo, you will have a great time here.

Room Tip: I had a balcony but they all looked good to me!

Really enjoyed our stay in Koh Samui and Chaulty Towers was a great staging point, as I had hoped from reading the reviews. Steve was always there to help where he could and was always offering to drop us into Lamai Beach, and include anyone interested in any activities he was participating in. Gigs, visiting Woody's (his favourite pool bar), Thai boxing, Sunday Roast in Lamai, and one of the highlights being the group trip for Gin and Tonics on the beach at sunset when the bars were shut for the Princesses funeral, followed by Steve's homemade Shepherds Pie back at the hotel, then pool and drinks around the bar.

We arrived early April for 1 week, Steve waiting to collect us at the airport. My partner and I stayed in the Apartment and one of our friends had a Deluxe Double Room. Rooms were great and free wifi was excellent. Pool and bar area are enjoyable. Quick tour from Steve of the local area was very handy on the first afternooon as well.

Few drinks around the pool and a chance to meet the other guests was fantastic. The layout was great for a promoting social interaction but still plenty of room to escape when the hangovers rendered one a little less sociable. Met some great people here who certainly helped to make our trip.

Early introduction to the night food markets near the boxing ring was great and we ended up eating there a few nights. Great fresh food, sooo tasty, sooo cheap.

Hired some bikes after a couple of days. 150 baht a day. Bargain. Taking a tip from other guests, heading to waterfall 1 and 2 and rode up to Mountain View Restaurant at the top. Fun ride and topped off with awesome infinity pool at restaurant where you can pay 100 baht for a relaxing dip with an awesome view. Back down the hill and a bit further onto to Na Muang waterfall for a nice feed and another swim. On another day, rode to Bhoput Fisherman village for lunch, and up around past Big Buddha, round the north east tip, then back through Chaweng. Stopped at Ark Bar for a swim and a feed, which was entertaining, but maybe a little bit showy. Chaweng seemed a little too closed in for my tastes, re-affirming the choice to stay in Lamai at Chaulty Towers and adventure from there.

A great little spot surrounded by plenty to do. Tesco down the road. Gym also. Am looking forward to heading back and continuing the adventure on Koh Samui. Kicking myself for not getting to Football Golf up past Chaweng near the airport. Sounds like a blast. Oh well, good excuse to go back again.

Thanks again Steve. Was a pleasure.

Exactly what it said on the tin. Steve has a very good set up here & is very helpful and accommodating. He'll even pick you up from the airport for a mere 400 baht. Best of all he even goes out of his way to show you the local area & necessities they 1s day to help settle you in. And you must go & watch him in his band with his colleague Noi who is without a doubt the best guitarist I've seen in years (literally world class).
Apart from the friendly host, the rooms are very clean with fresh towels every day & the location is great. It's only a 10 minute walk to the beach & hussle bustle, but far enough away to get a nice quiets night sleep. I could go on & on, and would certainly recommend this establishment to anyone else. In summary - an excellent stay, & I shall return.
