Beluga Lovely

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 16 Jul 2019via mobile
Stayed here from 2 - 12 July 2019.

The first thing to say is how lovely the staff are, especially the manager, Pom and Sau Sau and Ed. Also the lovely dogs from next door, Sunday and Monday, and their mum Sybil always greet with a waggy tail.

Although this review comes nearly a year after staying here, its as fresh in my mind as if we were there just yesterday! Having been to Thailand 5 times, this was my 1st visit to Koh Samui. I had no idea where to start looking, so searched Tripadvisor for suggestions as I always do. well,I am so glad I did, as I came across Beluga on this site.. I cant begin to sing enough praises about this boutique hotel. Amazing hotel, amazing views, amazing staff, amazing accommodation, amazing food - just plain amazing! Pom, the manageress, is super attentive, and gave us lots of suggestions of places to go visit and try out. The on-site restaurant is superb, but we did try little places nearby to support the locals :) We hired a scooter bike from a travel agent in the village, and took a ride around the island - so beautiful! Back at the hotel and want a little treat? There is a massage lady situated right next to the hotel, and she is really good - so convenient that you need to walk too far to have these treats! If you not keen to venture too far from the hotel, then you wont be blamed for just staying put, enjoying the pool area, the devine cocktails on offer, and the magnificent sunsets in the evening from the big "love chairs" as I called them. The Grandpa&Grandma rock are within walking distance as well as a few souvenir shops. All in all, this is a little piece of heaven that I cannot wait to be able to return to one day! Don't hesitate to book here, you will not regret it! xxxxx

We loved Beluga! The manager, Pom was not there, so the receptionist, Ed took over and he was so nice, accommodating and sweet! Beluga overlooks a small boulder field and a rocky beach, so it’s easy to walk along the beach. The breakfast was so good, it was insane. It’s been almost a month since was stayed there and we still talk about the breakfast there. The food and drinks are expensive, so we ate there only when we were feeling lazy, but when we told Ed it was our honeymoon, they provided a BIG several course dinner which was so sweet of them :) the no kids thing is a huge plus, we made some awesome friends with another young couple. The pool is not big, but it’s a small resort and it’s a perfect temperature pool. The sunrises are out of this world. 10/10 would recommend

We came across the Beluga by accident whilst out swimming in the sea today. We saw the most comfiest of chairs and decided to have a drink, at which point Pom introduced herself and we had a lovely discussion. We immediately fell in love with the place and Pom was kind enough to show us the rooms in the hotel, all I can say is that we were both blown away by how beautiful the rooms were! They are built into the rock face and the hotel have made a feature from this which is very impressive. We are staying in Bangak in other side of island but left today considering switching hotels. All I would say is that if you are looking at this and considering booking, please do as you will not be disappointed with a beautiful hotel, with excellent location and such friendly staff :-)

We stayed here for just three nights and we wish we’d have booked for longer! The hotel is nestled between two bays and right next to the Lamai viewpoint. It has a beautiful view out over the sea and easy access to the water and the beach. We borrowed snorkelling masks and enjoyed swimming around the rocks right off the hotel. The hotel itself is immaculately kept. Everything is spotless from the communal areas and pool to the rooms. The rooms are a good size, provide premium toiletries and thick fluffy towels. There is a great bar and food menu and happy hour twice each day (which we took full advantage of - the daiquiris are particularly good). Breakfast was super with a selection of fruit, breads and pastries and eggs. All of the staff at the resort were friendly, helpful and always smiling. WiFi was excellent throughout, too, which hasn’t always been the case in our travels through Thailand. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would love to return in the future.

We stayed at Beluga for 21 nights in March 2019. It is absolutely perfect little hotel in a beautiful setting, 14 rooms in total makes it a quiet peaceful hideaway, we aware greeted by Pom the manageress with a beautiful smile and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. After a cooling sorbet we were taken to our rooms where our luggage had already been taken and it was perfect, we had a 2nd floor room and it was lovely, lots of space for our things and a big comfy bed, spotlessly clean, bathrobes and slippers provided too. Every room has an ocean view which is amazing, it's located on the end of Lamai beach with a short walk ( took us 10 mins) into the center, all the staff work very hard to make your stay wonderful and nothing is too much trouble, rooms cleaned daily by the lovely housekeepers. Breakfast is mouthwatering, fresh bread, crossiants, cake from local French bakery, fresh fruits, eggs and bacon or Thai porridge if you ask for that, tea/ coffee and fresh juices is more than enough to fill you up. The lunch/dinner menu is available throughout the day and I've never had such delicious food in a hotel, they have snorkels available if you want swim in the ocean and big fluffy towels are provided, the pool is lovely to cool down in too. I would highly recommend this immaculate friendly hotel to anyone who wants to completely unwind and relax. All the staff are amazing and do their job extremely well, Thankyou to Pom, Ed, Saw-saw, nila, saw for being lovely people and making our holiday one well never forget.
