We are a family of four and recently stayed at Rocky’s for nine days.

The resort is like a tropical paradise, really beautiful and the rooms are scattered around the resort in an unusual (and therefore great) way, not in blocks. There are tropical plants and flowers everywhere but arranged beautifully. A lot of thought and design has gone into planning this resort. In the evening lots of fairy lights and candles are displayed in the public areas which made the resort look stunning even in the dark.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. They are very happy to help.

We really enjoyed the garden pool and it was lovely to be able to have lunch by the pool too.

We ate in both the Bistro and the main restaurant and food in both was very good quality albeit not very cheap. Wine was quite expensive too.

We also enjoyed the Thai night and tasting all the different Thai dishes while watching the tasteful dance and music performance. Out of the themed nights we loved the beach bbq the most - such an amazing setting for dinner and the food was mouth wateringly delicious.

The only downsides I would say were:

- we stayed in the deluxe pool villa which was stunning but located right at the top of the resort and therefore near the very noisy main road. This meant that we could hear the road noise whilst going to sleep (or trying to). This was quite disappointing as this accommodation is the most expensive in the resort. I would advise to stay at the poolside rooms or at the beach front.

- at breakfast there is a buffet and you can also order eggs and bacon cooked the the way you like which is fantastic. I would change the buffet slightly though so that the pancakes and French toast would be included in the ordering menu as now they are displayed in the buffet but they are not in heated containers so are cold and hard when you get to eat them. We love pancakes for breakfast so this was a bit disappointing and not ‘boutique’ level.

- the beds are rock hard which I found uncomfortable but I told Adriane about it and she organised a soft mattress topper for us. But even then the bed was quite hard so when the resort is renewing the mattresses I would go for something little softer.

But all in all a fantastic place and we had an amazing holiday!

With regards to your concern. We regret to hear that your Deluxe thai pool villa was disappointing because its close to the road. We tried to change your room and offered something to make it balance but I know its still different so you didn't accept it and stayed in the same villa which we understand.

And about the breakfast selection, thank you for the feedback, we take all comments seriously and if the guests suggests something that we think would be great for us, then will do our best to make it happen.

The Rocky's is very atmospheric and beatufully decorated. The personell was superior in its service, always friendly and always helpful. While lying on the beach they even brought iced water and sticks with fresh fruit for free and without asking. The beach is small, but nice, we did not use the pool. The breakfast was the weakest spot the hotel has. While there was a good variety to choose from, the quality was not as I would expect it from a hotel of Rocky's class. We had dinner once, which was really good, but way more expensive than in Lamai Beach. The hotel offered free shuttle to Lamai (but not back). There was no free pickup at the airport though (900 Baht), where other hotels offer free pickup for their guests.

Others will think that Rocky's is only like 5-7 years old or some would say its new. It's because we take good care of our grounds, garden and always make time to refurbish or renovate and keep Rocky's beautiful.

The weakest spot that Rocky's has is our breakfast. First, we are happy to receive comments especially from our guests and it will help us maintain our standard and to improve what we have to improve. But as per previous guest comments, you will see that they liked our breakfast, many option. We both serve A la carte and buffet and we even have Asian station where we cook thai noodles soup in front of you. We want to improve the breakfast part you've mentioned. Kindly give us more details about that. Please share your expectation.

Koh Samui is a small island (tourist place), it is normal that price is different compare to Cities and hotel prices are also different from local/street restaurant. But we do understand that some tourist expect less expensive foods, drinks or souvenirs when you travel to Asia.

Shuttle bus time and brochure is given and explained to our guests upon check in. We have free shuttle to Lamai 3x a day and 2x return from Lamai to Rocky's.. Chaweng is once a day and no return and not Lamai.

Free Airport transfer can be arranged but it depends on the booking. Not all booking can get a free transfer. Some might give a free transfer because they're near the airport not like us, but usually its not included. Some hotel booking includes transfer especially if you book direct to hotel but still, you have to inquire about it.

Where do we start..... the staff are amazing Chok your are the best. If you want a slice of paradise then look no further. The location the staff the food was all perfect we stayed 10 nights and just didn't want to go home. Thank you to all the team for memories we will have forever and for including us in the hotels birthdaty celebration.

Room Tip: we had a room by the pool for adults and the children had a sea view both were lovely

We arrived early afternoon and we were so lucky to get a free upgrade to a beachfront room.
The room was spacious, very clean with a great bathroom with all you need. The breakfast is a buffet with all you want! Fresh fruit, buns, rolls, croissants, muffins, juice, yoghurt, milk and a stall for an asian soup as you like and a menu with all the different eggstyles. Coffee, cappuccino, iced coffee or tea.
Twice we had dinner at the hotel (yes a little pricey) as restaurants in the neighbourhood are not that great. And you have to walk near the mainroad. The hotel offers a shuttle to Lamai (beach) but the return is very early. Taxi's are expensive, you can bargain 100 bath down but not always. They only use the meter when there is a police control!!!
The beach is small but the poolarea's (2 pools) are spacious with plenty of sunbeds and umbrella's. They offer beachtowels, fresh iced water en fresh fruit during your stay at the beach or pool for free.
Our stay at Rocky's was great not only thanks to the free upgrade, but thanks to all the staff.

Restaurant very good - but prices are also accordingly.
A little outside restaurant area, in case you want to try other alternatives. Hotel provides shuttle, but not very often. And not in the evening.
But all in all absolutely recommendable hotel.
We had our own rental car - very convenient, also to see other parts of the island. BUT be aware of the chaotic traffic - especially scooters don't seem to know the traffic rules.

Room Tip: We had the Deluxe Beachfront Suite - VERY nice room, with superb view. Can be a little windy.
