My husband and I went back to the Thaihouse and we felt at home.Things have only improved-free WiFi in the room, fresh exotic flowers in the room, exotic fruit in the room, rapid fixing of any technical problem.
However, the birthday cake and the roses for my husband's birthday surpassed any expectations.Small details ,but huge results!
We are already looking forward to our next stay there!

Normally we would stay at this hotel in Februari 2012 but due circumstances we had to postpone it to Sepember 2012 because of some health problems(heart surgery). We had booked already in Februari but the very kind owner of this property aloud us to postpone it to September 2012 and because a rate in Februari was more expensive than September 2012 we got the difference in price back!!! I think not many hotels would do this and return money!!
Apart from all of this we had a wonderful stay, location can't be beaten, our beachfront villa was only 20 meters away from the christalblue water and the beach was magnificent perfect for swimming because it went deep just after a few meters which felt very cool. Our Villa "A" was spotless clean with a very nice rainshower in the bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was a real feast, everything you can imagine available including an eggs-corner which made your eggs the way you want it ! We will certainly return to this exciting place in near future!

Room Tip: It will cast a bit more but staying in a beachfront villa was feeling like everything was ours, the...

I stayed at the Thai house for 8 nights in August/September. The hotel has a great location on a swimmable beach with clean warm ocean with very low waves. I requested a king room, but got a family room instead - supposedly an upgrade, but my bet is they ran out of king rooms. The beds are hard - which I know can be a challenge for tropical places, but the bed was not comfortable. That was the only down side to the stay as the rest was great. Nice breakfast each morning, the employees are great and helpful, very nice. The view and beach area very clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have beach beverage service, but you had to go to the bar yourself or go to the little bar next door to grab a beverage. The bar at Magic's was cheaper so worth the extra few steps. Overall a very good place to stay on Lamai and on Koh Samui.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay here. My husband and I traveled to Koh Samui with my family (ages 16-52) and it was accommodating for everybody. The rooms were nice and the service was good. We appreciated the computers and internet in the lobby, as we didn't bring our laptops with us, and it was nice to have some contact with friends back home.

Breakfast at the hotel was nice, but nothing fancy. We never ate at the restaurant for any of our other meals because there were so many great options on the main strip.

The best part of this hotel is its location. There are tons of shops and restaurants right out the front door, but the hotel has still maintained a level of privacy, and when you are at the pool or the beach, you feel shaded from the street. Along the beach, there are lots of great bars and restaurants. Only complaint would be the vendors trying to sell you stuff on the beach.

On Sunday nights there is a night market just down the strip. If you are there on a Sunday, this is a must see!! Tons of great local food, music, and entertainment.

Overall, we really enjoyed this hotel, and if we are lucky enough to be back in Koh Samui, we will stay there again!

We stayed at the Thai House for 4 nights on August 2012, and enjoyed our stay.
We had a deluxe triple room with 3 beds and a baby cot. It was more spacious than the villas, so I'd recommend it for families. The room was right by the pool, so it was very comfortable for us.
The beach is great for kids, nice soft sand to play with. The water get deep very close to the beach, so buoies are recommended. We often had lunch on the beach: some fruit, chicken, rice and corn made by the locals.
The fruit shakes in the hotel restaurant are a bit expensive, the nearby resort is cheaper. The breakfast buffet was excellent, lots of variety. Also the dinners at the restaurant were very good, really liked their sea food BBQ..
The service was very good, the staff was very friendly.
The pool is small, but was enough for us.
I liked the location of the hotel, so close to all the shops, bars and restaurant of Lamai, and yet the rooms facing the pool are very quiet.
In summary, we had a very good time there. I'd recommend it for families who want to stay close to the shopping area, but don't want the noise and hustle of Chaweng.

Room Tip: The deluxe triple is more spacious than the villas.

We stayed at Thai House Beach Hotel for 4 days and found the staff to be very pleasant and courteous. They went out of the way to be helpful. Special thanks go out to the ladies at the reception.
The hotel itself is nicely maintained though the grounds are a bit cramped. Bedrooms are good and are cleaned daily. We opted for the deluxe double room that opens out on to a terrace with garden view. Not much garden, you face the parapet wall, but its ok. Don’t let them give you a ‘free upgrade’ to a triple room, its stuffy despite being bigger and the balcony faces the indoor courtyard, so you won’t get a view.
The stretch of beach directly opposite the hotel is most likely the best on Lamai beach. Its clean and peaceful, and the hotel sunbeds are arranged early morning. The sea here is great for swimming and they’ve cordoned off a section so as not to be disturbed by jet-skis. We had breakfast with a great view of the beach everyday. Try their mixed omelette, best we’ve ever tasted! As night falls tables and lights are set out for diners on the beach, very romantic.
They have a lovely swimming pool and a massage sala in a corner overlooking the ocean. It was relaxing to hear the ocean waves rolling while being massaged.
The hotel is within easy walking distance to Lamai centre, shopping and nightlife. We recommend going to see the grandfather and grandmother close by, though not within walking distance. Amusing!
