“Absolutely fantastic holiday - we will be back!”
Reviewed 8 June 2011

We spent 2 weeks at Beach Republic and had such a wonderful stay. The resort is really nice and easy to get around, the staff were really nice and always went out of their way to say hello to us. We had some treatments at the spa which was lovely, very relaxed with lots of options.

We stayed in the modern 1 bedroom pool villa - the beds were very comfortable, they had everything you needed for bathroom amenities, the little kitchen was great for storing the drinks and snacks we bought (we didn't cook any food but they supplied any of the items you would need to cook a meal) and the outdoor shower was really nice. The sundeck area is perfect for watching storms come in over the ocean, especially at night.

I can't complain about the food - yes it's pricy but you're not eating at the market, it's upscale Mediterranean food. My husband loved the club sandwich, I loved the mashed potatos that came with the steak (which was very good as well). There is plenty to choose from at breakfast - and I don't know why people are knocking the Sunday Brunch.....you can't go wrong with roasted turkey, beef and lamb! Yes it's more expensive than what you would normally pay in Thailand, but they're serving Alaskan king crab people, not exactly native to the area. It's an assault of the senses, there is so much to choose from. You need to start small and early to pace yourself for the whole afternoon.

All in all we had a fabulous trip and would recommend the hotel to anyone considering to book there.

Room Tip: Get the plunge pool, so so worth the extra money.

We stayed at the Beach Republic to treat ourselves to a little luxury after 2 weeks in Southeast Asia. We were surprised to receive upgrades to suites as they were short on standard guest rooms - they were beautiful and had all the amenities of home! The food was delicious and the beers were COLD! We loved the hotel and the staff so much that we extended our trip for an extra day!

Thank you Sun, Nang & Giles! We'll be back!

My friends and I stayed here for 5 days in May. Close to both Lamai and Chaweng. We hardly left the property. We had everything we wanted. We spent most of our time at the pool overlooking the beach.
The staff was amazing!
The rooms are great. Simply decorated and beautiful, with every amenity.
Highly recommended.

We are very surprised to read the comments re Sunday Brunch. As we were also present at this particular Sunday session, we found the ambience perfect bearing in mind the cross section of age groups. The food quality and service was outstanding. Perhaps the people complaining were too close to the speakers!

A group of friends and I stayed at the Beach Republic for the last few nights of our 2 week Thailand trip and Beach Republic was our favorite by far. The rooms are contemporary and comfortable and they have kitchenettes with all the essentials. We spent most of our time by the pool overlooking the ocean and it was beautiful. The entire staff from the front desk to the servers to the General Manager were so friendly and accommodating to every need. I have already recommended the hotel to friends who will be there in a few weeks! We also loved happy hour... two for one drinks poolside from 5-7. Enjoy!

The hotel, rooms and food are great but the music is so loud at 2 pm that we went back to our room to get away from the pounding music.
The guests were not mainly 20 year olds but 40+ and no one seemed to enjoy the music being so loud.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. The villas with their own chemical-free pools are always a popular choice.

Since we first opened in 2008, the Sunday Sessions Ultimate Sunday Brunch Club has become an island institution. It has been named the island's best by Fah Thai Magazine and others and each week upwards of 100-200 people enjoy the gourmet feast and great atmosphere.

The DJs who were playing this Sunday spin mellow grooves, suited for tropical sunbathing, swimming, and Champagne sipping. On the Sunday in question, we were happy to welcome over 150 guests who stayed throughout the afternoon enjoying the beautiful day.

We are of course disappointed that this wasn't to your liking, but we look forward to you staying with us again.

You can't beat this resort for the price. it's only been two weeks since we were there and I am already nostalgic for the fantastic vacation my husband and friends and I had at Beach Republic. The staff have a casual friendliness and are attentive and helpful. We LOVED our suite and the little touches like free wi-fi, turn down service, free bottled water, etc. The whole design of the hotel is hip, chic and simple without being intimidating or snooty. The poolside drink service is a perfect way to enjoy your day. We also really liked the daily breakfast buffet and were pleased with the spread there and service. I went to the spa one night and had a great massage and the spa itself is beautiful. I highly recommend it and have already told two of my honeymooning friends to check it out.
