“Satisfied customers everywhere!”
Reviewed 10 October 2009

As promised, I came back in September with 70 friends/family en route to Kastellorizo to get married. Without exception, every one of them was blown away by the facilities, atmosphere, food, service, location and friendliness of the staff.

This really is an amazing resort, rated four stars - but really five stars, in every way.

I can't say enough about this place other than I've been three times in the last two years - and each time gets better. If you want to be on the beach, enjoy a typical Greek island holiday, yest still be close enough to the city of Rhodes not to feel like it's a massive trek to get there everyday, this is your place.

Stay at the Eden Roc, you most certainly will not be disappointed.

PS, Kosta at the bar is a champion, Niko at the beach bar makes you feel like part of the family... and wait to you meet Lefteris in the dining room - what a character!

Eden Roc is a wonderful resort! My husband and I spent 10 days there for our honeymoon. The room was very clean. We had asked for a queen/double bed, but we ended up with two twin beds pushed together! We had known this might be a possibility, and it was fine, but a little unusual. It seems that not many Americans come to this resort, but we don't know why! We LOVED it. The location is perfect - so close to the bus stop that takes you right into Rhodes town. The sea is very calm and great for swimming. We went in September and we never had to battle for a chair at the pool. We preferred to sit at the pool since the chairs there were free (unlike the chairs on the beach). We definitely recommend taking the day trip down to Lindos - the boat leaves from another resort in the bay. That was one of our favorite days. We did not do the all-inclusive option and were glad that we didn't. We loved going into Rhodes town at night to try all the different restaurants there. We had a wonderful time at Eden Roc and would definitely recommend it to other's.

The grounds of this resort are fantastic. The interior such as the lobby and the other facilities are all modern. The pool is large (saltwater) with a good amount of loungechairs next to it and on the spacious sundeck below. Also right off the resort is a beach with chairs you can rent for around 3 euros. Some of the extra facilities are tucked away and a little run down such as the beach volleyball area and the minigolf but other than that the resort itself was very well kept.

The service was hit or miss. Some of the people working the reception desk were very friendly, the night we got in the resort was no longer serving food so the lady who checked us in offered to give us a ride to the local restaraunt when she got off. The main bar was staffed by 4 men who were completley lacking in personality. They weren't rude but were very blah. The dining hall workers seemed to constantly be watching me and my wife to make sure we didnt get anything to drink except for water since apperently beverages arent included in the half-board meal plan. It became a little overbearing. The most polite group was the italian entertainment team. These guys put on shows everynight and activities throughout the day. The shows were pretty entertaining and the team was very friendly towards the guests even when they were just walking around or eating.

The food was awful. The hotel advertises three restaurants but if you get the meal plan you can only eat at one which is a buffet. The food was typical crappy buffet food, turkey in gravy, fish in lemon sauce all of which was very bland. The only positive was that they always had snacks out, sometimes pizza or spinach pie, near the bar at all hours for all guests. The second reataurant charged and had lousy hours 12-6 and I never found the thrid restaraunt. I think it was closed. If you stay here the food will get old quick and being in kallithea there semmingly is no where else to go. There are two restaraunts five minutes up the road that have decent food and the resort across the bay has a ton of different restaurants but I dont know how good they are since we only found them on our last night. Also if you get the half board beverages, even soda, are not included in your meals. The beer at the bar is resonably priced and there is a convenience store 5 minutes up the road that sells cheap beer wine and liquor.

The rooms were spacious but the bed was harder than I expected, though still softer than most of those we slept on in greece. The sheets on the bed were to small so every night we ended up untucking them while we slept and woke to find some of our body on the actual mattress. Alos there was no room service.

The ride to rhodes town is about 15 minutes by bus and will cost 1.5 euros each way.

In summary the resort was nice for the price but if you can go more expensive, I say go for it. The Aldemar village across the bay looked much nicer so check that out first.

We loved staying at Eden Roc because the staff were extremely warm towards us.
The hotel is beautiful, modern and excellent to relax in.

It is also not too far from the old city to do a spot of shopping...

The name really says it all. When we arrived at Eden Roc we immediately felt like we were in a special place. The suite was opulent, spacious & very comfortable. The television was placed behind a mirrored glass panel which added a touch of elegance and also means you don't have an invasive LCD in the bedroom.

The hotel is situated on a beautiful bay with it's own private beach (what more could you ask for). A trip to the Old Town was only minutes away in a taxi where you can stroll around the shops, have a bite to eat and find some trendy bars that make delicious mojitos!

Eden Roc has everything that you would need for that perfect getaway. The spectacular view of the crystal deep blue Aegean Sea will consume you.... an unforgettable experience.

After returning to Rhodes for the first time in 15 years, I spent four nights at the Eden Rock. The island is an idelic place and the Eden Rock was the perfect compliment. I would never hesitate to return and the Eden Rock would be my first choice.

The overhaul has been completed to the highest standard and luxury exists from the moment you walk into the lobby to the time you lay your head. The pool area and surrounding coastline are breathtaking, thankfully the service throughout the hotel matches it's looks. The staff are friendly, the food great and the bars are A1.

Staying with friends and family in September, we found the Eden Roc Resort and Hotel to have everything we needed and more. Renovations made the hotel look and feel modern and new with rooms comparable to the finer hotels of Asia. With three large pools and built right next to the beach over the water, its location is, as is its outlook, impressive. High standards of food and various forms of entertainment were provided, along with exceptional service. We highly recommend this resort hotel.
