“hotel from hell”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2007

We came back today from the worst holiday we have ever had. We feel like we have been conned into parting with our hard-earned money.
We thought we were going to a 4* all-inclusive hotel, what a shock to arrive at 1AM in the morning to be told we couldn't get a drink 'till 8AM! If we wanted water, we would have to pay well over the odds for it.
Breakfast next day consisted of stale bread, SPAM, rubbery cheese and there was a big bowl of jam which was all sticky round the outside of the bowl. We had to wait for a kettle to boil which served at least 40 others before we could have a cup of tea. The handle on the kettle was too hot where it had been boiled so many times - you had to hold a serviette so you could pick it up! We were then bought out 2 fried eggs on a saucer, WHICH WE WERE LATER INFORMED BY THE REP THAT WE WERE VERY LUCKY TO GET THEM, AS THEY WERN''T INCLUDED IN OUR BREAKFAST!
The hotel staff were very hostile towards you and they seemed to run out of all the bare essentials. i.e. red wine, lemonade, vodka, and coke.
We went the last week of our holiday without ice-cream, as we were informed it was now finished.
They only ever brought out enough food for 3 or 4 people at a time, and it was ALWAYS COLD and UNEDIBLE.
We were told that you could get snacks around the pool bar - no such thing!
You can't get any drinks from 10AM to 12:30PM or from 10PM to 8AM in the morning - you can't even buy water!
Most of the people we knew in the hotel had to go out and buy themselves a kettle and teabags so they could have a cup of tea.
The hotel is situated halfway up the mountain which is 3KM away from the nearest town, Benietis. We were told there was a shuttle bus, that left at 10AM in the morning and came back at 1:30 PM. It was 1.2 KM to the bottom of a very very steep hill, which was christened in our hotel, 'Heart attack Hill'!

I could put plenty more bad details - but the list is just endless.
This was supposed to be rated as a 4* but in our opinion wasn't even a 2! It was a thouroughly unenjoyable experience...
DO NOT GO THERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Rooms were OK This is NOT a 4**** hotel. Might just scrape to a 2****. This is NOT an all inclusive hotel. Nothing was available after breakfast until the dining room opened for lunch (no coffee/tea/cola - not even bottled water) Food INEDIBLE/very sparce/no choice/cold. This is two miles up a very steep hill, (then a further mile to the nearest town) so the possibility of fetching supplies from the town was NIL. There are rats running to and fro across the front lawn - to the guard dogs compound - eating its food!!!/climbing the trees and generally having fun. Bar shuts at 10 pm. THE WORST OF IT ALL IS THAT THE MANAGEMENT DO NOT SEEM TO ACCEPT THEY HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.

this hotel is supposed to be a 4* and is actually a 2*.the rooms were okay, the food was terrible,we met 3friends denise and the 2boys who couldnt manage to stomach the food and were not allowed to eat a sandwich that their mam had bought for them in benitses.in the bar on a night 2nights running we were the only people there and the bar closes at 10'o' clock then you either go out to benitses or go to your room.we took our 13year old granddaughter and we would never go again, the staff were nice if you were nice to them and on a certain day they give english a saucer with a little bit bacon on it or 3eggs or little hot-dogs cut up which is on different days of course,we would seriously recommend you dont go!!!

This hotel is definitely not a 4 star. It is a refurbished 3 star and the You Travel description is totally misleading. Things could at best be described as adequate. If you thought you were booking a 2 star you would probably be satisfied, but as a 4 star it is a total disappointment. Food is ok, (some dishes are really good) but insufficient for the number of guests, which results in a scrum round each dish brought out. The pool is okay, but matting around the area is a danger as it rides up and causes a tripping hazard. The drinks available will never get you tipsy and are only available between 12 and 10, so after breakfast there is no drink available, not even water to buy! All in all, the quality is extremely poor. They just do not have an idea what all inclusive means. At 10.00 you have to get a taxi out or go to bed. People complained all the time and I think this made the staff weary - its not their fault - the fault lies with the You Travel website and with English firms booking this hotel as a 4 * without checking it out. There are many safety issues, including no smoke alarms. If you are going there then there is a lovely beach bar at the bottom of the hill (which is walkable or you can go on the minibus), this beach bar has great lunches and good value wine and beer. If you haven't booked yet - then don't !

This is a terrible hotel that is very isolated and so far below standards it's quite upsetting. I spent most of my week wishing we hadn't bothered. The positive aspects are that it has beautiful views and is quite clean. The negatives are very different though: staff are rude and unfriendly due to being over worked, the food was served cold and there wasn't ever enough put out for the number of people dining, the hotel was 1.5 km from the beach and the nearest supermarket was up a hill that must people couldn't manage in the heat, the town was also far away so we were trapped. The hotel had no entertainment so we had to make our own. We were playing board games at one point. There are no fruit juices available at the bar despite the holiday rep talking to management, when I asked I was only offered the usual fizzy drinks that the machine churned out, water was sold in bottles so there wasn't a lot to do but buy it. The rooms were pleasant enough but not all of them have air conditioning and due to the mosquitoes it is difficult to sleep with a window or door open. There was a mini bus to take you to the beach but it left and came back once a day. It only held about 8 people and if there are 70 rooms you can imagine the customer's needs were not met. There are safety issues and a lack of signs regarding fire assembly points, whether or not water is safe to drink and the depth of water in the swimming pool. There were many different problems with the hotel and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone in the future. This is not a four star hotel and it certainly did not serve four star food.

this hotel is know way a 4star all inclusive hotel!!!- by a long shot! this has to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, through all our years of travelling abroad! food terrible, service terrible, no manners & rude staff too boot! The facilities in the hotel were nothing like stated on the website! The hotel is on an elevated site & should state that you need transport! If you are wanting a drink due to the hot weather between breakfast &12pm you will be waiting until the end of your hols to get one! All in all this is a truely awful hotel & something that knowbody should have to experience!!!!!!!!!! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL !!!!
