I stayed in this hotel during my summer holidays. The hotel was booked by the travel agent and it was part of the holiday package, so it wasn't my choice. The package included half board. The hotel has all that required for a simple accommodation (air condition, bathroom looks renovated and clean, small fringe in the room, changing sheets and towels every 2 days, pool etc.). The pool is in the center of the area surrounding by the building. Breakfast was simple and dinner had only one or two choices of meals without something special. The only problem was the continuous noise from the pool during the day by the children who were playing there. The first night that we arrive there was also noise late at night, from the people talking at the bar, which is near the open area and the pool in the middle of all the rooms. There were some complements about that.
Overall an average accommodation, nothing special.

Stayed in the Bintzan Inn with friends who knew the owners. The hotel rooms and common areas would do with a renovation, however, everything is kept clean and maintained as well as possible and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was simple without much variation. The chef kept all his/her creativity for the evening meals (we were on H/B basis). We enjoyed lovely, home-made food, coming in big portions, always followed with freshly cut cold watermelon.

You definitly need to hire a car to get around the island and visit its beautiful beaches. The hotel is not situated near the town of Corfu and a car is a must if you want to drive downtown late in the evening for a walk or a drink and return to the nice quietude of the hotel.

The pool area is nice and clean and there's free internet connection in the reception area.

Overall I would suggest this hotel for people on a budget who don't have very high expectations.

Having read the previous reviews, we booked this hotel with great trepidation, and were pleased to find that it wasn't as bad as we'd been lead to expect.

The communal areas were nicely decorated and well looked-after. The swimming pool was clean and inviting, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. There was a separate kiddie pool and a small playground for the little ones. There was also a nice shaded area with tables and chairs where you could chill out with an ice-cold frappé or a beer.

We got the impression that the hotel had recently had a facelift, and although the standard of workmanship seemed a bit poor in places, that was a minor gripe and didn't affect our enjoyment.

Our room was a good size, the bathroom was adequate, there was a fridge and the air con worked. The cleaners visited every day and did a decent job.

Breakfast was plentiful, but repetitive and of poor quality. Rubber cheese, cheap ham, boiled eggs, bread, packaged cake, yoghurt, mini packs of butter, jam, honey. Coffee came from a coffee machine (not freshly brewed) and the orange juice was of the UHT variety. Dinner was much better, there was usually a choice of two mains (one veggie) served with either chips or rice, a couple of salads and fruit for dessert. We had dinner at the hotel twice, couldn't fault it, it was excellent value. The bar was open all day, providing coffees, drinks, simple snacks and tokens for using the internet (there were 3 PCs for customer use in the hotel lounge).

The hotel is located in Gastouri, a quiet area close to the Achilleion, within easy reach of Corfu airport and the town (approx. 15 mins drive). There aren't any tavernas or bars within walking distance, so you will need to have a car to get out and about.

If you're looking for a basic, family-friendly hotel, you won't be disappointed. If you want luxury and quality service, you need to look elsewhere.

We went in Bintzan inn in July 2009. They gave us the worst triple room I have ever see@!!! Ground floor with 2 regular beds and a murphy bed. The room was very small, the walls had humidity, the wardrope wasn't clean, the swimming pool was only 5 meters from the room and the breakfast was very poor.

Stayed there for 4 days. Rooms ok but not very clean and surely not very safe.

The staff was quite friendly.

The pool was ok but the deck chairs were ruined!!! 2 days out of 4 the pool was very dirty.

Didn't like it.....
