“Really nice fish soup”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2013

Nothing like bouillabaise fish soup! Something different! Al lot of white fish, leek, green herbs, olive oil and a lot of cream. But not heavy! When they brought out the plate, I thought it wouldn't be enough for a main dish, but it was. Loved it!

“Average fish soup”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2013

We may have been in the Venice of the North but the food did not match it's Italian counterpart. A bowl of fish soup with bread from the lunch time menu cost in excess of £20 so our expectations were high. Sadly, although the portion was generous the quality was pretty average. The bread, although apparently only baked the previous evening, was too hard to enjoy. The evening menu did however, look very inviting.

“Incredible Fish Soup”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2013

This restaurant was awesome. We were disappointed the first evening we stopped by, since there was no room for us. We quickly learned our lesson and reserved for the next night. Service and food were excellent. It was well worth coming back the second night.

“Good fish soup but fantastic town.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2013 via mobile

The little town of Henningsvær surpasses all the food there. Doesn't matter what you eat the place is gorgeous. On the way stop at the little beach with turquoise waters for a seashell walk or just sit and stare wow!
The fish soup at Fiskekroken is fine too.

“Authentic fish restaurant in the heart of fish country”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2013

At the heart of the most historically important fishing village in northern norway, this restaurant serves up super fresh fare, using local recipes with a gourmet twist. If you feel courageous, ask for the fried fish tounges (stekte fisketunger), the absolute tastiest fish meal of my life, but which isn't on the menu.
