“Very cosy place in a central location and with super friendly staff”
Reviewed 27 March 2014

As it was low saison, we were only one of the two rooms booked in March. The rooms are not big but cosy, clean and have everything you need- including a great view!

What we found even more important is that the staff members were amazingly friendly, accommodating and helpful.

We would definitely visit again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Higher floors have more privacy

Stayed here one night in early March 2014. Quietly situated in Henningsvaer harbour, we received high standards of service in spite of the place being mainly empty. This is off-season for the Lofoten Islands so unfortunately their restaurant was closed. Never-the-less the lobby with its open fire was warm and inviting and the breakfast spread was lovely. Szandra deserves special mention for her welcoming and helpful attitude.

We had originally booked the Rorbuer - big mistake- the place was across a bridge from the hotel and is in desperate need of upgrading. Freezing cold, old-fashioned kitchen and pine clad rooms, the place was dire. We asked to be moved into the hotel itself, which wasn't a problem obviously. As others have said, the rooms were small but perfectly adequate with a nice view over the harbour.
The only other place open was the Fiskerogen Restuarant- which was nice if expensive, even for Norway.
I'd recommend this hotel to others.

We were here in the end of August and the town closes dowh. The room has a fantastic view. The room is a bit cramped but is comfortable and make sure you get a room on the waterway. The morning breakfast is average. In the evening the first night the restaruant was closed so we were sent to a pub nearby. It had run out of things but made some omlets. The second night they closed the restaurant because they were serving some bus tours. The only restaurant in town open was (guess what? the pub) So do not plan eating at night there. The last moring breakfast they had no milk and were waiting for a truck to bring it. All in all I suspect that if you want to be at this village it is the place to go... You will pay a lot so make sure you get that good view!!

Room Tip: Room on canal at an upper level. Internet is best in the lobby

My partner and I stayed four nights here and really liked it.

First plus point is for the location, right by the water and with a car park adjacent.

Breakfast was great, an ample buffet with plenty of options. The staff were friendly too, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed and laid back. There is a wood fire in the lobby, and the lounge area is comfortable.

Only slight drawbacks are the expense (well, it is Norway so it is very expensive), and the rooms are fairly compact (though the downstairs lounge does make up for this a bit). One night (our last, when we had an early start to get up for) there was a party downstairs which made a bit of noise.

But it was a great stay and we'd definitely come back here again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in August. Clean, comfortable room overlooking the harbor. It's modern, so lacks the charm of the rorbu cabins, but doesn't feel too out of place. Good beds and clean, compact bathroom. Nice lobby/lounge area with a fireplace. The restaurant serves a decent breakfast and a delicious dinner menu that competes with the Fiskerogen down the street for quality. Friendly, helpful staff.

Room Tip: Second floor overlooking the harbor has a great view.

What a beautiful place! The hotel is of good standard, the room was nice and clean but the real selling point here is the views. Mountains on one side, the sea on the other. Amazing. The decor of the hotel is nice and quite modern which is rare in these parts. The lounge area downstairs is nice. The breakfast buffet was good but really the same of every other hotel you will visit. We did not eat at the restaurant as there are much better options with more choice in town (Fiskekrogen). Henningsvær is a quiet but very scenic little town. Absolutely worth a visit even if you are not staying.

Room Tip: room 202 is a corner room on the second floor and offers amazing views over the bay in both directio...

This Hotel we can highly recommend to all Lofoten Tourists!! It's situated right at the Fjord / Harbour. The interiour of the Hotel is very cosy with a lovely fireplace and a nice restaurant.

Right at arrival we were not so happy with our room as there is a walkway going by right in front of the windows. We therefore had to have the shutters closed all the time which was a pity.

We were very happy with the breakfast buffet which offered a good variety and last but not least with the friendly service.

Room Tip: The deluxe room is worth the money!! It's a lot bigger than a regular room, however, it's on...
