Stayed just the one night.
It’s a big hotel in a small town. No doubt very busy during the summer season when people come to stay and do stuff on the fjord. But late October it’s a bit empty.
Staff were friendly and attentive enough.
We ate supper in the restaurant and the food was warm and filling - but served on cold plates - which really annoys me as you have to eat the food quickly. This cold plate issue isn’t unique to the Rognan, it’s an annoying feature in places all over the world.
Breakfast was plentiful both in quantity and variety. But the fried eggs had been left too long and looked like dried shoe leather.
Rooms a bit old fashioned but still comfortable and warm enough for a good nights sleep and very quiet.
