“Beautiful Homestay at a Beautiful Location”

Spiti especially Losar is not a mainstream destination for most of the Himalayan travelers, but it is gaining popularity and the hectic rush at Ladakh is driving most of them to look for alternate locations. This is one such place where you can still enjoy the serenity among the majestic Himalayas.

Nomad's cottage was a such a lovely homestay which accentuates your experience of staying in the local villages in midst of the Spiti valley surrounded by the tall mountains and amazing landscapes with the spiti river running by.

Beautiful local food and amazing people who overwhelm you with their hospitality.

“Cozy place with all facilities ”
Reviewed 12 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Away from crowds and mainstream tourists. The nomad's cottage has all facilities you would require, from comfy beds to warm blankets to hot water to good food. All in all its a good place to go to when you want some peace of mind, away from hectic city life.

“Oasis in Spiti”
Reviewed 11 March 2016 for a stay in October 2015

Spiti is pretty dry and barren and remote. Consequently tourists are few and far between and generally adventure junkies who are willing to put up with compromises in hotel standards while getting their adventure fix. Thankfully Sahil Duggal who runs adventure tours in the region has stepped in to remedy that shortcoming.

The Nomad's Cottage in Losar is small, but a warm comfortable oasis to return to after you've had your daily fix of mountain biking or hiking. The rooms are warm and comfortable - and the staff cheerfully helpful, going out of their way to provide incredible meals even with the formidable obstacles to procuring fresh produce and meat in Spiti. There's a warm fire and a drink waiting every evening and Sahil has promised that coffee beans and a French press are on the upgrade list. If only he could get the internet connection to become more reliable he might just get 5 stars!!
