A very beautiful hotel with nice view at lake. Large parking area where you wont have any problems with parking. Hotel has also a very nice restaurant where we enjoyed our meals very much. Just to be recommended for the next time.

This place has a big genius loci. The building is renovate in functionalism style, has own closed place directly on the beach of nice Macha lake. We spedn lot's of time here in the summer and during winter as well. In the summer there is lot's of to do in the hotel and in the location as well. Great gastronomy, nice indoor basen and bowling. However during winter this is awesome - if Macha lake is frozen -you can play ice hockey or just skate or if there is a snow, you can take a cross-country skiing.

We stayed in this hotel in August, spent two nights there.
This is completly renovated hotel, the room with lake view is worthy. Price is little bit higher but it is the only 4* star hotel nearby.
Wifi for free in lobby and restaurant.
Indoor swimming pool was closed thru that weekend.
Breakfest very good, fresh pancakes, omelettes.
Dinner also very tasty, menu a la carte.
Young staff but very professional.
Very quiet area, secured private parking 100 CZK/day.
I can recommend.

What a little gem! My partner, myself and our two-year old daughter had a loveyl stay at Hotel Port. The hotel enjoyes perfect location directly by the Macha lake and has it's own private sandy beach. On top of this, there is a lovely heated swimming pool (the cleanest we have ever seen) with free loungers, beach volleball court, class voleyball, bike hire, mini golf and loads more.
We had a large room with a terrase and a view of the lake and the Bezdez castle. Eventhough we booked a double, we had double (massive) and a single bed in the room as well as the cot for our baby. The furniture was basic but adequate. The only minus points were the lack of fridge and a kettle to make your own coffee/tea.
The breakfast offered a nice choice of bread, freshly prepared eggs and bacon, cheese, salami, sausage, fruit juices, cereal and yogurt. Plentyful. The coffee and tea selection was also very nice.
The staff is very helpful.
The train station is nearby (7 mins walking) which makes exploring the area and seeing all the local chateaux and castles very easy.
We will definitely be back.

We booked the hotel through an hotel agent, our expectations were not high but the hotel managed in some aspects to reach depths unknown to us. We got two (very) small rooms (the smallest available) with really low quality beds. Bathrooms small but OK. Almost everything about the hotel is at closer look: outdated, not looked after, not clean. It was probably very good in the 1950's or so.
The Hotel is located excellent on the shore of beautiful lake, our rooms did overlook the parking and the trees on the other side of the hotel. It has a new and very good outdoor swimmingpool, clean and nice wich can be overlooked from the perfectly placed hotel terrace, overlooking the lake.
Our girls had windsurflessons of two more-than-perfect trainers, organised by the hotel at very affordable price. Bikerental was organised also good.
Most staff spoke little English or German.
On check-in old communist times returned: a huge pile of paperwork had to be completed! Exept for my shoesize they now know everything about me and my family... Crazy! Diner was at best so so, breakfast was quite good. Younger staff were friendly to Czech standards (one also to Western standards), older staff showed expressionless faces even to our children, almost rude. Reminded me of the time i visited Czech over 20 yaers ago while it was under communist regime. Gruweling to me were the sticky filthy chairs in the restaurant, since productionday they were never cleaned en touching the wooden backpart felt as if you touched a layer of half dried glue, brrrr!

This was the second time we have enjoyed our summer holiday at PDM and a measure of our satisfaction is the fact that we have already booked up for next year. The beautifully landcaped site sits meters from the sea, surrounded by olive groves and lemon tree orchards, offering safety and tranquility for people who enjoy the quieter holiday destination. The owner and his family live on site and are always on hand making your stay relaxed and enjoyable, providing excellent food, ranging from the classic Greek salad, (with vegetables that we watched being picked daily ) to barbequed fish and freshly made pizzas that you create from an array of ingredients on the long tressle tables set out by the outdoor pizza oven - the kids love it! The villas are well designed, well equipped, clean and air conditioned and all have little patios to relax, read, eat, drink and chat. The gardens provide shade and are peppered with hammocks, gazebos and sun beds for guests to lanquish if they 're not lying on the beach or swimming in the ocean. Our children ( 9 and 10) spent hours in the sea playing on the surf board and the kayak provided. Both learned to snorkel safely and experience the excitement of seeing a range of sea life in a crystal clear, natural environment. To me meeting Tasos, his extended family and many of the other guests from around the world was a pleasure. They all made us feel part of a small, friendly community where the only down side is the speed at which the time passes. A very special place - we are already looking forward to going back in 2011.

Very nice place to go all over the year. The hotel has its own beach (white sand), tennis, volleyball and beach volleyball court, as well. Great atmosphere with nice lake-view panorama. Good restaurant and local wines. By the way, 30min by car there is a nice golf course.
