Have just returned to a wet and windy Ireland after a relaxing(!!) four days with Babs in Sa Pletassa This place is a real gem - the gardens are beautiful, the rooms excellent and the hospitality warm and welcoming. Babs and her team do a super job running this little paradise - looking forward to returning next year.

Driving through the rather desolate countryside to get to this finca my husband and I were a little worried. When we arrived in Sa Pletassa and were warmly greeted by Babs, glasses of Cava (Spanish sparkling wine) and snacks all our fears dissolved! The finca itself is absolutely stunning! Incredibly clean. Every detail from the beautiful furniture in our room to the well kept lawns makes you quickly realize you are in a place of extremely high quality. I cannot eat gluten and must maintain a gluten-free diet and Babs and Natalie were WONDERFUL and went to great lengths to ensure I not only had something to eat but AMAZING things to eat. The food is incredible. Every morning you are greeted with fresh coffee, smoothies, fresh fruits, breads, meats, eggs- you name it- its there! You are on your own for lunch although they do have an "honor bar" where you can get snacks and drinks. When they do dinner it is wonderful, our only regret is we only had one opportunity to eat dinner at the finca. They have a garden on the premises and use their own produce as much as they can- delicious! Babs is very knowledgeable about the area and can help direct you to some good restaurants in the surrounding towns. We went to several top rated restaurants in the Lonely Planet Mallorca guide for the surrounding towns and were not disappointed. There is some very good food in surrounding areas. Also be prepared for the Germans- they are everywhere!! My husband and I left with the impression that Mallorca is the Daytona Beach of Europe- especially for Germans. The incredible throngs of humanity were overwhelming at times. When we felt we needed a little space we would retreat to our lovely little finca- Sa Pletassa. Pack in several bottles of water, a couple bottles of wine and some chocolate and you'll be set!! Ask Babs to make you a local favorite cocktail and tell you about some of the more hidden beaches and you will have a great experience.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are incredible!!

I spent 1 week there before Eastern together with my wife and 2 kids and overall was just perfect. The new Swiss owners of the Finca did a good job; the rooms are renovated as well as the pool area and the lovely garden.
Service, friendlyness, quality of food and drinks is excellent.
We can only recommend you to convince yourself of that beautiful place in the middle of vineyards, olive- and lemontrees.
And: by your rented car you reach the beach within a few minutes as well as the village center of Cala d'Or with dozens of good restaurants and bars.
We are sure you will like it too!!

Room Tip: There are rooms for families such as "Mallorca" on the floorground and others with balcony on the first floor.

i dont understand these bad reviews. the whole hotel is amazing!
the finca is run by amazing esther, who speaks better german than english and is always there when you need her. we had a 8 months old baby with us and she let us use the hotel kitchen for preparing the food. the pool is being cleaned every day by the gardener who also keeps the whole garden very neat and beautiful. the breakfast is good except the coffee comes from a machine and is a disgrace to coffee, haha.
the next nice beaches are about 20-30 minutes drive. there is a big supermarket about 10 min drive.
the only minus point was our bath which was very moldy. i saw other rooms which had no mold. we didnt move though, just keep the door always shut to the sleeping room. we loved our room above the reception which had a 40 sqm terrace all for our selves.

there were a group of swiss people who are planning to buy the place end of the year. they will renovate in 2013. unfortunately they want to move in to the little house, casita, which i was planning to rent when i return. bummer.

Room Tip: casita is the little house and the best!
