“Beautiful Villa, well equipped, spotless”
Reviewed 21 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We had a great stay during the first week of Feb. The villa is in a rural village but still within easy access of other towns & larger resort areas. We would recommend a car hire as essential. Arriving on a Sunday night it was nice that there was a welcome pack of essentials to get us started. The villa is well maintained & equipped and we found it had everything we wanted although our wives would have liked a full length mirror somewhere in the property. TV, Audio & WiFi all easily accessible. The pool is spotless and we would recommend having the heating on at this time of year. Sandy & Andy service the property to a high standard and were friendly & informative. We have no hesitation in recommending Villa Tessa to anyone.

“Lovely villa”

Just spent our holiday here for the 2nd year running and had another lovely week.
The booking process was easy and Sandy was more then helpful when we were there! Thank you!

The location is ideal for us, the villa is in a lovely quiet village. Spent a couple of nights in the local bar which is really cheap.

If you go into Caleta I would recommend Fado Rock as we have had a couple of excellent meals in there!

The villa itself is very clean and well equipped! We loved the outside BBQ and the swimming pool.

Would recommend!

“Quiet Retreat, lovely relaxing home from home”
Reviewed 27 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed 16th-23rd September 2015, (A family of 4)
We wanted somewhere a short distance from Caleta De Fuste, quiet and relaxing and this Villa is exactly what we needed.
We hired a car to get around and I would recommend this unless you are happy to stay in the area throughout your holiday.
Great facilities, private pool, enough space for family of 4
Small shop located at the top of the road (Out of the villa, turn right and straight up the road). There is a supermarket in Antigua (4km away)
Spanish restaurant next door but one to the villa. It has a red telephone box in the garden. We dined here and the food was amazing.
If you drive into Caleta, there are many restaurants within the town. Our favourites are Fado Rock, Nestor's and Lin's
Had a few issues with the boiler from the Thursday - Saturday which meant we had no hot water. However, the couple who manage the property (Sandy / Andy) offered the use of their shower facilities until it was fixed (they lived 4 doors away). The owner (Frank) did offer to discount our next stay by 25%, I asked for this stay to be discounted because my parents were with us and won't be on future holidays but the owner refused to discount anything off this stay.
I would of expected a gesture of goodwill, whereby this stay to be discounted 12.5% and 12.5% on the next stay but this was not up for discussion.
It was a bank holiday which is why it couldnt be fixed the following day. We were told it would be fixed on the Saturday morning. It was eventually fixed Sat early evening. We werent kept up to date about the situation, I had to chase to find out what was happening.
Once fixed, 2 people had showers and then had to wait a further hour for the next 2 people to have their showers. We were going out for a meal that evening and this delayed us.
The overall handling of the boiler situation was disappointing for me.
One of the twin beds was broke in one of the bedrooms from a previous guests. My 75 year old step dad sat on it without knowing and fell through it. This is a bit dangerous really, he could of really hurt himself.
Suggestions for future guests:
Leave them an info pack about the property and surrounding areas
Maybe consider air conditioning
Chair / dresser / mirror in the bedrooms
Check everything is in working order before the next guests arrive

Management Response
14 Oct 2015
Hi Marie,

Thank you for leaving a review it is appreciated. Firstly I would like to apologise for the boiler going, unfortunately they do not give any warning and therefore it was unpreventable. As for keeping you informed, the boiler was fitted as soon as possible and installed within an hour of getting it but I am sorry if you felt you were not communicated with sufficiently. The boiler was replaced with the same size as the old one and has always proved sufficient.
The bed was made prior to your visit and did not appear to be broken until it was sat on, I believe there was another bed for your use and the broken bed has been repaired.

I do feel that the discount I offered was sufficient bearing in mind you were offered the use of a shower and did not have to go without.
All the comments are gratefully received and duly acted upon.

Frank

“Superb and well furnished villa”
Reviewed 27 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We have stayed at this villa on a number of occasions, both as a couple and with our Grandchildren. The villa and grounds have always been exceptionally clean and cared for, as well as the pool. Sandy and Andy (who live local) ensure that everything is ready for your arrival and are available and very helpful should you require anything. With the villa being well equipped it has everything you need should you wish to cook your own meals and the patio area being shaded provides a good place to enjoy your meal outside within the pleasant garden surroundings. If we wish to eat out on occasions like we do it is only a 10 minute drive to Caleta where their are numerous restaurants. This is an excellent villa to spend your holiday and we would recommend it to any couple or family. We find it nice to be staying in a local village as the people are friendly and we look forward to our next visit (which can't come soon enough).

“Great place, great people, excellent villa”
Reviewed 7 June 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We booked Villa Tessa to enable us to experience a villa of this type and Triqui as a village. Neither disappointed. The villa is spacious with excellent facilities that are kept immaculate by Frank (who obviously takes pride in his property) and Sandra and Andy who make sure the villa and pool are kept spotless. If anything, the description of the villa and village undersell the experience that awaits.

The village provides a taste of rural life in Fuerteventura which is tranquil and relaxing. The village is central and not only means a quick transfer from the airport (15 mins) but also provides an excellent base to explore the rest of the island, with most parts of the island easily reached within an hour by car. The capital (Puerto del Rosario) and Caleta de Fuste are within a short drive and provide access to a wide range of supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants but in our opinion there is no better end to a day of relaxation than watching the sun go down from the terrace of Villa Tessa.

The village also has a small supermarket and a couple of bar/restaurants that are very reasonably priced. There is also the riding school in the village which is run by Carlos and his family, who provide a range of options for those learning to ride to the more advanced horse rider. An hour long trot led by one of the team in around Triqui is a must.

We have no hesitation in recommending Villa Tessa, it really is a home from home in a great, tranquil setting where you can't avoid relaxing as the days fly by. There is no doubt that we will be back, the only question being for how long as a fortnight seems too short.

Thanks Frank, Sandra and Andy for providing the setting for a great holiday.
