I stayed a few days in jan 2018. what a peaceful, chilled place it is. it's run by mother and daughter, they are very friendly, baan yemaya has a lot of character and soul, they are both very helpful, food is fab, rooms are basic and clean - my favourite place on koh chang.
and no, the food does not need to improve, it's very good as it is, even though some spanish person might disagree. try the pancake for breakfast - delicious and light.

We got here by chance ("let's see where this peer goes") and we discovered a very special place, super relaxed. The owner speaks very good English, the food is delicious (we had to wait a bit to be ready as we came after a large group but we didn't get bored, we just relaxed with some very delicious Mojito).
I highly recommend!

I went over to Koh Chang from Bangkok where I live for the Ultra Koh Chang Trail race and I stayed at Baan Yemaya.
Air the owner was very welcoming and showed us to our room which was everything we needed, air con, nice bathroom and clean bed linen.
The accommodation is right on the sea shore which is actually in a fisherman's village.
Air has a restaurant on site and she cooks the most wonderful food. she is a very interesting lady to talk with and has good English.
Highly recommend her accommodation.

This is a little gem hidden at the end of a small pier in a small fishing village on the east coast of Ko Chang. This Blue house has three guest rooms and a great little restaurant that feels like you have stepped back in time to someones private beach residence. Thoroughly charming decor and owner Khun Air, who juggles many hats including madam, chef, raconteur and more.
We stayed one night and dined of Dinner and Breakfast.
Cocktails and iced beers on the outdoor garden overlooking the sea at sunset was a treat, followed by dinner in the dining room and lounge. Khun Air served the freshest seafood (from the fishermen that morning of course) in a number of superb Thai dishes including curried fresh crab, steamed whole sea bass with Thai spices, fresh prawns with Nam Djim. A small selection of wines was available which was totally adequate for this hideaway location, and a large selection of liqueur and cocktails beckoned from the bar. The evening was so pleasant that we moved onto to after dinner digestivs and cocktails, great stories and much laughter.
Totally peaceful sleep that evening in an modern aircon room with shower...more than adequate for we three sailors.
Hearty breakfast in the morning and fresh coffee and juices.
Thoroughly recommended for the "road less travelled" adventurer who loves great food and great characters.

If you haven't been told where it is, it is tucked away with stunning peaceful views at the back if the fishernan village.
Spent a very serene 2 hours eating and chilling. Probably the best cooked calamari I have had, massam curry also top notch.
