We have lived in lux rooms with painted ceiling and we liked this room very much! It doesn't matter that bathroom equipment is unfashionable, you feel atmosphere of old times and hospitality here.

The baked goods are very tasty, they are handmade and you can't help eating and eating! Breakfasts are exceptional!

The hostess, m-m Rena has created a wonderful place with special atmosphere, very cosy and pleasant.

The only thing you should take into consideration: you may book the definite room and the hostess with distinctive Greek indifference to such trifles of life may let someone else to occupy it and lodge you somewhere else. So we recommend to write to her in a day or two before you come, so that she could get prepared ))

As for us, we will be glad to return here.

The hotel is quite old.. The owner of the place is very sweet and will help you out in every possible way. She serves delicious greek homemade breakfast. We went in feb and everything else was closed so we didn't have much options.. The beds are not at all comfortable.. The bathroom is very small the room is ok and old.. The only thing that is good is the location which is near the port..

My husband and I enjoyed a 5-night stay at the Aeginitiko Archontiko in August '12 (28/08-02/09, in particular). We were very pleased with the service received by Mrs Rena, the delicious breakfast and the lovely veranda and courtyard. The room was clean -albeit small, but this was something one sees during the booking process-. Great location, too. Would recommend/re-visit ourselves.

Room Tip: The first floor rooms are lovely due to the veranda. Do go to the rooftop-lovey views and a refreshi...

The decor and the atmosphere are very nice. The owner is friendly and worked hard to make our stay better---even helping us to get some clothes washed. The breakfast was nice and on the second day she brought out a freshly-baked orange caked, steaming from the oven. The room was a little small, and the shower was smaller. You have to remember to turn on the water heater well in advance. But it's advantages outweigh the shortcomings. I'd recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: If you've got the money, the second floor suite looked great.

We were very lucky as we had booked into a hotel around the corner that was of a poor standard we only cane across this gem by walking by.
The owner made us a coffee before we decided to change hotels when the owner gave us a price for the largest room, cheaper with breakfast than the other hotel without, we jumped at the chance of moving
We stayed for three night and every night had a drink of wine in the garden with the owner, a wonderful 3 nights stay
.

Room Tip: We had room 11 which opened onto a patio garden, not much of a view but there was a roof patio above...

Beautiful bed linen in pension quality, pokey, poor rooms and primitive bathrooms. Dead cockroach on the bedroom floor and lovely breakfast.Beautiful courtyard and bedroom windows you cannot open if you want privacy. The list of contrasts can go on relentlessly. It was advertised at €48 a night that we payed with a €50 note, the change never came and the receipt we got as we left showed the bill now as €50.
The manageress is indeed entertaining but you get the feeling that she is an "entertainer".
There is much, much better quality around and the price here is no way justified, sorry.

Room Tip: Open the window to see what is outside. If a window opens to the breakfast courtyard you will be awo...

Ive just come back from a 4 night stay at this hotel with my mother and we had the most wonderful time. As the previou review states its a little slice of paradise indeed. We had the most peaceful and relaxing stay and were able to switch off from the outside world. Aegina itself is stunning and this hotel is in a great location. Its minutes walk from the port and from lots of bars and restaurants, we never felt unsafe walking around even late at night. Kia Rena is a wonderful hostess, so lovely and friendly and her hoem cooked breakfasts are amazing!! She was very helpful when the ferry company went on strike and she arranged for a water taxi to get us back to the mainland for our flight home - although i would have happily have stayed on the island. I would definitely stay here again if i find myself in Aegina again... good value for money, clean rooms, sheets changed daily, great location, amazing breakfast. I felt very much at home.

Room Tip: We had a room upstairs which was lovely in the morning as you could sit outside and get teh morning...
