“Small beach but nice”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

Is a quite small beach but with a nice cliff that you can jump in the water. Big rocks in the water.

“Quiet and beautiful”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Quiet beach, very unspoilt and clean. Check you bags and clothing before leaving for Scalopendra Gigantium a huge carnivorous centipede with a venomous, sometimes fatal bite! We had one nestled in our clothing = a close shave! Remezza taverna is lovely - not overpriced bearing in mind the location right on the beach with a fab sunset view. Don't miss this beach if you're staying in Akrotiri!

“Secluded, Sparsely Populated Beach with Views”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

The Caldera Beach is located just before you get to the town of Akrotiri, below the Kokkinos Villas hotel. The drive or walk down to the beach is exceedingly steep and strenuous, and thus during our entire stay in Akrotiri we only saw a handful of brave souls venture down to the beach (though there is a restaurant at the bottom of the hill, so they may simply have been walking to eat). Caldera Beach does offer the most scenic views of the caldera and all of Santorini, but the beach itself is not maintained well and does not offer umbrellas/restrooms like other beaches on the island. Though the sea is clear and mostly calm, a number of small fishing boats are anchored just beyond the shore, making for a less than stellar swimming atmosphere. In the end, the views and tranquility are amazing, but you pay for them with the steep walk down and back up and the lack of amenities.

“Quiet and not crowded”
Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

Perfect for those who enjoys sunbathing and relaxing by the beachside which is quieter and definitely away from the crowd. There is one seafood tavern and people get here for scuba diving lessons. However for the more elderly, it was quite a walk to the beach for my folks.

“A pleasant beach”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

We enjoyed this beach in late afternoon. It offers a beautiful view and a rock from which to jump in the water if you feel so inclined. The water was clean and it was not crowded (anymore?).
