“The best GLUTEN-FREE hotel”
Reviewed 5 September 2013

I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel Aquis Capo di Corfu have no problem cook meals for clients with gluten-free diet. Arete restaurant chef is very friendly person and always, when I need advice on whether the food is gluten-free, transferred me buffets and showed me what I can eat. The restaurant arete offers gluten-free bread and cereals. If I had an interest in food that contain wheat, cooked very similar to another pan. With a gluten-free diet I had no problem during the whole 12 days. The food was very delicious, we had to choose from a variety of dishes. The wine that was included in the all inclusive was easy summer, the most we tasted white.

Staff is very friendly and professional. During breakfast, lunch and dinner in restaurants are also managers who are looking for quiet running restaurants.

We spent 10 days in a Garden view family room with a 4yr old and a 6yr old. The accommodation was brilliant and worked exceedingly well with the children up in the mezzanine floor. The garden view appear to be better placed than the sea view rooms, which have their view obstructed and are too close to the noise of the resort.
The food was excellent, with a vast array each evening and we never had a desire to eat elsewhere. The waiting staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Adela and Georgiou who made our stay most enjoyable and we felt well looked after, and fed!
The resort is dominated by Framissa (French holiday company) and the activities are run by their staff and obviously mostly geared towards their French guests. They did not preclude you from joining in, but both the language and the basis that we had not booked our holiday through them felt us less inclined to join in. As most of the children on site were French they went to the kids club run by Framissa and had their own children's disco/shows etc, whereas the hotel did in fact have it's own (not well advertised) kids club run by lovely Emmanuella who the kids adored. Our kids were often the sole children there, but they did not mind.
The pool with the slides was great entertainment and in an area on it's own which was great. The lifeguard was fantastic with the kids.
Although not the most beautiful of beaches it served it's purpose for the children as it was sandy, shallow and clear for quite some distance.
Downside was the location of the hotel, without anywhere of interest to walk to.

Room Tip: Avoid sea view rooms as they do not have a clear view of the sea and tend to be noisier.

We stayed at Aquis Capo Di Corfu between 21st and 28th of August. I am 16 and was with my mother, brother (12yr) and with another family in which were 3 children aged 11, 13 and 15.
We chose this hotel for the Alli Inclusive package, which was great, and stayed in the family villas.

I'll start by giving a general review:
It was definitely an amazing week. We had no idea that the team running the animations was in fact a french one (we are french) and were quite surprised to find ourselves completely surrounded by french. But it was quite pleasant. The staff was incredibly kind! So was the animation team (the activities offered were really fun, so thanks to Blaise, Quentin, Lou, Laurence, Maxime, Angel and all the others :) ) NB: you do not HAVE to take part in the animations id you don't want to. The girls at the fish spa (you get your feet nibbled by tiny fish, cleaning your skin...it tickles a lot, but your feet are nice and soft at the end) were really really really great! The view was simply breathtaking! In the morning, the sea (the Ionian Sea) is a silvery greyish blue, as the hotel is located south east, and in the distance, you can just about make out the rocky greek mainland. Around midday and for the rest of the afternoon, the water is a delicious turquoise, and having your meals in front of it is just perfect!
The pools are really nice, especially since they very large and are child-friendly. IF your not happy with the music at the first pool bar, there is a second one, with a bar and sea view on the other side of the hotel: you don't hear the music from that second pool. I would have liked there to be a square pool, because it's just easier to do a bit of lengths when the edges of the pool aren't circular....but it's a tiny minor detail.
At night, there is some music, so if you want to dance, it's great! And just something about the food: there's all sorts of food, ranging from greek to mexican on some nights, but it's generally the same every night. And it's pretty good..not perfect being french, the first thing we look at in a hotel is the quality of the food...so we did judge it quite harshly, although the tzatziki was really good, so was the past, the chicken and the greek salad. Ice creams were absolutely delicious, and so were the beignets!

Now, to be a little more precise about the rooms:
As we were travelling as two families, we'ed taken the family rooms. They are very roomy and the bedding is great. Lighting and air-conditioning all good. The bathroom...is bizarre. The sink + mirror are in the bedroom, and next to that is located a door containing a mini (mini) area in which you'll find the shower and loo. I should warn you though, when you take a shower, stay as close to the wall as possible, otherwise you may flood (it's a 90% chance) the ''bathroom" and a bit of the bedroom. Also, there isn't really anything to hang your towels/bathrobes in the room. Apart from that, the terrace/balcony is really comfortable and is equipped with something to put your swimwear for drying in the sun.

The pools/sea:
PERFECT!

Meals area: the furniture on the outside was great, and really pretty, but on the inside...it was just a little ''cantina-like'' which was a bit of a pity...

There are tennis courts, a gym area, a spa, fish spa, playground for little children, watersides (they should maybe put a liner so as to make the descent a little softer because it can be quite painful)

All in all, it was a delicious week! We came here to find relaxation and have fun before school and the winter, and we definitely found it. I was really sad to leave the hotel, and say goodbye to such a kind staff and animation team. I definitely recommend this hotel! Although i must mention this: upon arriving at the hotel, i was a little dubious because 1) the music area is next to the reception, so you think that you won't find peace and tranquility, but i promise you do, at the other pool. And if you like music, then it's alright. 2) The rooms are in fact little chalets (2-10 rooms for one building) which is great, although i wouldn't have gone for those colours..but that's just my opinion).

I hope i helped you plan the perfect holiday (Corfu is a gorgeous island! You must visit the Achilleion Palace, and the Old Fort in Corfu's Old Town...but ask at reception and they'll be delighted to help you!)

have fun!

I stayed at Aquis Capo Di Corfu between 12 and 20 of August and i believe that it is the best family hotel that i have ever stayed. If you have children and you travel to Corfu this is the best place to stay. The hotel is ON the beach(beautiful brown sand, NO waves), has two water slides for children, very good buffet morning and evening and last, excellent staff, Sakis, Fotis, Dennis, Lilly, Christos, Nontas, probably the best people of all hotels that i ve been. The manager and the owner must be very proud of their staff.

Room Tip: Pay more and stay at the villas.

Cannot fault the hotel- spotlessly clean and brilliant staff; from the people on Reception through to the gardeners. Everyone works hard to make this a great hotel. Special thanks to Andreas in the restaurant- my kids adored him and also to Adela, one of the waitresses. The beach is brilliant for kids, with loads of sand and a really shallow sea.
My only complaint would be how loud the music was around the larger pool during the afternoon- but we were happy at the smaller pool where there was no queue for the bar and a much calmer atmosphere. Also some of the other patrons could be very rude, especially during meal times.
Other than that, we had a fabulous time and would recommend to those who enjoy a good all-inclusive holiday.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a garden view room as the pool ones could be noisy.

We have just returned from this beautiful place. The rooms are the best we have ever stayed in, loving the upstairs for the kids!
What really makes this place is the service, nothing is too much trouble. From the waiters, to bar staff, cleaners, reception everyone was so helpful. I have to mention reception who really helped us out when we lost our wallet (with all money and cards in) in Corfu Town. I phoned reception whilst stuck in Corfu Town, they could not do enough to get us back and find the wallet. Which thankfully we did!!! I also had 2 massages whilst away (thanks Pan), you really sorted my back out!
The place is spotless and very safe, the location on the beach was perfect. The only downside for us, was there was nothing walking distance to see. The hotel is South of the Island so a good 1hr 30 mins to Corfu Town. It still did not spoil the holiday, we loved it!!

This has to be the best family, holiday hotel in Corfu. It was our second visit and to our relief everything was as good as it was 3 years ago; in fact they've improved it by adding a second swimming pool and bar with beauty treatment area.
The food is wonderful; fresh ingredients, freshly prepared and great choice. The waiters are excellent (special thanks to Georgios and Andreas). The accomodation is stylish and meticulously maintained. The entertainment provided by the mainly French animation team was first class; both during the day and also the evening shows (merci to Quentin, Ingrid, Maxim, Blaise and gracias to Angel). This is an outstanding hotel, special thanks to manager Spirella Linardou who made us all feel special.
If I had to pick out one special feature it's the attention to detail; for example they way they hand out iced face towels during the afternoon, or the way they come round to clean your sun glasses.
Strongly recommended.
