“lovely if you like the french!”
Reviewed 20 May 2010

just got back from 10 days in this lovely resort. on the plus side, it hasjust been refurbished and is very hi-tech and comfortable. 32in lcd tv and dvd in room and lovely wide beds and plush furnishings.however they are experiencing some teething troubles and our toilet flushed hot water!! and there is an unpleasant smell near most of the outside toilets and i think that is because people are flushing paper down the toilets and the greek sewage system cant handle it! be warned!!

room service is as you require it - every day if you like. there is also a laundry service but it is expensive - but there are no facilities to wash or dry your own clothes.

free intertnet is available everywhere on the resort which is very handy! you can also rent a laptop.

the staff are all very friendly and eager to please.

the pool and beach are lovely and you get free pool towels.

the food is very good - worth 4 stars (some agents give this hotel 5 stars) with plenty of choice (although not much for kids - only pasta) and the restaurant is very nice. also for those of you who smoke (we dont) you can eat and smoke on the terrace.

ice cream is available all day, lots of flavours and sauces etc.

snacks are only served between 4 and 6 but to be honest you dont really need them!

however there is one big but:

most of the guests (about 90%) are french and so are all the entertainment team! and the french dont llike the english!! therefore we found that the english guests were snubbed when it came to the activities and evening shows.

most of the shows were french and only french guests were really welcome! - we were not amused!

everything was announced in french and not english - not even greek! we felt we were in france and we wanted to be in greece!

however david from sweden is lovely and tries his hardest to include the english guests.

also the resort is miles away from anywhere (kavos doesnt open till june!) and we usually like to be able to walk around the nearest town/shops when we are on holiday but this wasnt possible! the buses did stop at the resort and we were able to visit corfu town, however it takes 2 hours and 10 minutes each way!!

however, if you have a busy lifestyle and you are happy to chill out by the pool and eat good food and drink all you want in lovely surroundings then this is the holiday for you!

My wife and I and 4 other members of our extended family were visiting Greece for the very first time. As the coach turned into the drive of our hotel Capo Di Corfu, we were delighted to see the view. As we left the coach outside reception and saw the pool with all the sunbeds and parresols, the beach next to the pool, the view accross the sea to the mainland, and of course it is all helped by the sun shining. On entering reception we were met with a cooling drink, while waiting to check in. On entering our room we were very pleasantly surprised to find the very high standard of the furniture including flat screen tv with Sky news and BBC world. The rooms have mini-fridge, safety deposit box, hair dryer and soft furnishings and french doors leading onto your own terrace with table and chairs. I have to say that for the rest of our weeks holiday, we found all the staff unbelivably friendly, with nothing too much trouble, and the management were all hands on, and visible and accesable to all. I can't wait to return to this hotel again and I hope it will be very soon. Thank you veryone at Aquis Resort Capo Di Corfu.

We were switched from Aquis Pelekas due to Greek General Strike problems with flights. Aquis Capo di Corfu is located in Agios Petros, 2 km away from Lefkimi, in the southern part of the island ( Kavos is 2 km further south), on a large stretch of sandy beach. Rooms are in groups of villas/bungalos nestled amidst landscaped gardens, with the reception & restaurants near the pool. Overall, good quality for this type of all inclusive holiday, Lizzy on reception & Nikos in the restaurant shine out, but all staff VERY good and helpful. Animation Team could be annoying at times (could be my age!) but there is little to fault. Lots of holiday makers from France, UK and Greece, but quite cosmopolitan. Would be interesting to return late season to see if it all runs as smoothly. We had car hire (pre-booked 155 Euros with no extras) and drove from airport in an easy 1 hour - head south on main road & hotel is on road signed for KAVOS - do not go into Lefkimi Town, head for Port and watch for signs! Good to have car to enable escape to other parts CORFU as little to do in area (apart from Kavos wich we are told is heaving in the main summer months and is worth avoiding)

This hotel is clean the staff are very friendly. The entertainment is ok if you are French. The animation staff work very hard but I think that the English guests should be entertained as well, we have all paid for a holiday so should be entertained equally. The food is average it is a bit cold and repetative. Everything is new the beach is private so no looky looky men thank god. Hotel is probably a 3*+ ok for all inclusive

We just returned from a short trip to Corfu. We stayed at this hotel during our holidays and we really enjoyed it. Because we went in the middle of May, there were a lot of older people but we didn't care at all (we're 20). There was a lot of animation during the day and even in the evening. Our room was like a little apartment, with a terras. Food was delicious and it's possible to eat all day long if you want to. Those buffets were always very varied and you could eat a lot of vegetables and fruit. I guess that they made all the delicious cookies themselves ... yummiee ! I wish I could stay longer at this hotel and in Corfu. Although it was May, it was quite hot (30°) but we didn't care, we could always go in the pool to enjoy aquagym or just for fun.

I agree with many travellers who had already praised the picturesque location, good food and service, large size of a bed and free canoe renting at the beach (although was not available over the weekend). In addition, we enjoyed a choice of five complimentary cocktails, free of charge rental of DVDs from the reception and shutters that effectively screened the outdoor lighting at nights.

Although we enjoyed our stay, I would like to highlight some unfavourable elements to give you a more comprehensive picture of what to expect: 1) we had heard many blipping or slumming the door noises (the door had to be slum shut to stop it blipping), 2) at the time of submission of beach towels for the final time at the bar, I was given a box containing approx. 100 cards and instructed to look through them to find the one with my room number – a system I do not feel to be appropriate for a 4* hotel, 3) three times we were provided with three hand towels and only one shower towel, 4) the walls are thin, so we heard many noises from our neighbours, 5) a sink is positioned outside of a very small bathroom and is set too far from the edge, making it uncomfortable to use, 5) small shower gel bottles did not get replenished unless asked, 6) we found activities, that are undertaken right next to the bar, to be too many and loud.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Aquis Capo Di Corfu but not as much as we enjoyed exploring the beautiful island of Corfu.

Well I loved this hotel, I had the best time. The room was fantastic, if you can get a room that sleeps up to 4 people as there is an upstairs, we were very excited by this. The decorating is very modern and done beautifully. The pool was a little cold but I think because of the time of year we went it hadnt been warmed by the sun enough!! Beach was clean and desserted which was fab, sea was cold but very calm and shallow. The grounds have been beautifully done with gorgeous flowers and lush green grass. Staff so helpful and friendly and the Animation team couldnt have been better. As one other person said its very French but they do speak English, not brilliant but you can have a conversation. They all worked so hard with their dance routines each night and games during the day. Great bunch of people. Now we come to the best bit, the food. Oh my god I think I put on a stone. The variety each day was great, hardly ever had the same thing apart from Feta cheese but thats OK!! Lots of choice and all so so tasty. Best all inclusive I think I have ever been to. You will def not go hungry there!!!
I think the only downside was the journey from the airport. It take about an hour and half and its through lots of hills and hair pin bends so if you get travel sick make sure you take some travel sick pills with you, trust me!!
Weather was good but a little cloudy at times but that was just because of the time of year we went but when it was sunny was lush, great tanning weather.
All in all I would def go back to this hotel, I had a wonderful time and did not want to come home.
