We went to Far Out camping from 13 to 21 of August. Our overall experience was awful. The camping kept our identity cards causing potential problems with renting vehicles, police and other activities. The staff was quite aggressive and unfriendly. The toilets were in an awful situation, so dirty that it was disgusting to use them. In fact the toilets were not properly cleaned but they just threw water with a hose. The laundry service was actually not existing: although in the website the have pictures of laundries, in fact there are not any, not even one! The sinks for dish washing are dirty as well and unusable. In the afternoon there was loud music (the same every day) which was really annoying and didn't let you relax at all. There were garbage in the surrounding area. There were also many incidents of theft. I was stolen money, and in the next tent from us were stolen shoes and a swimsuit. In addition the water slides were not working and the pool was filled with beer that campers spilled.

Far Out Camping was perfect for what it was. It was great for chilling poolside with drinks, or going to the beach a few steps away. They had a great pool party everyday from 5-10pm. The pool was nice, and there was also a basketball court and soccer cage. It was actually more like a resort for people in their early 20s. Only downside was that it was infested with 18 year-old Aussie diikheads. They broke the waterslide, ran through nearby restaurants wearing nothing but t-shirts, and would climb the platforms during the pool parties and pour champagne and beer on people. They probably made up about 60% of the population there. Plus the ratio of guys to girls was about 7-1. Great for the girls, but made for a weird vibe overall.

We stayed 2 nights in the camping it was totaly great, no exageration. The place is clean and well kept, people working there are very friendly. There are a lot of bathrooms and showers with hot water available, so you never have to wait your turn, wich is really something. For 50 cents per day we were able to rent a safe deposit box wich is guarded 24 hours, so we had no problems with our belongings. For the rest of our stuff a small locker that we took with 2 euros from the mini market there did the job. The mini market was really useful cause we could safe money cooking in the shared kitchen of the camping. The kitchen is not utilated, but we were traveling with a small grill that we could plug there. Also the free access to the both pool bars was amazing. First one had the vacantion athmosfere with continuous party and the next one was more quiet and relaxing, so you could choose. Also the camping is not disturbed by the noise from the music or party to the pool bar, we really expected a lot of noise, but it was not like that. The beach was just across the street and the buss stop it was on the exit of the camping. There is a buss to take in the town or port every 10 min.
We liked very much and it was way above our expectations.
One negative thing: my boyfriend had a irritation from the sun on his foot and it was really disturbing him, so we ask help to the first aid of the camping. The blonde girl working there was really disturbed when she showed up, she was not inside and she informed us that is nothing she could do, cause she is taking care only of the plagues. We disliked profundly her attitude and lock of profesionalism, the only black spot in all our experinces there. Also we heart her, as we were leaving, saying to the guy who called her to talk with us that he was not supouse to call her for "this".
We loved the place and we will go there again for sure.

Perfect if you like to party. I stayed in a bungalow, can't complain. 5min walk to the beach, beautiful sunsets. 3mjn walk to the pool where it's so easy to make friends. There's at party at 2pm everyday by the pool. The last bus is at 11:30 right outside to get into town. Only takes 10min. Defiantly would stay here again.

We arrived to Ios by the usual way - ferry. We took the fast ferry from Pireaus port in Athens which took roughly two hours. The camping site is a short 10 minute walk from where you hop off the ferry. We stayed in a tent for three nights and this was enough time to enjoy the sites and beaches Ios has to offer. We found the nightlife was pretty good, although we were limited to the bars at the top of the hill (Aussie bar I think?) which was ok. We hired mopeds which gave us more options. The beaches on the far side of the island are worth a look, we particularly enjoyed swimming and snorkelling in Manganari beach and drinking in Milopotas beach. We then caught a ferry from Ios to Santorini which was only a 90 mins - 2 hours. Santorini is a good island to visit, very romantic and set up in a way that has the appreciation factor.
