After living on the island in 2009 and always hoping to be able to return one day and stay in the best place on the island - 2013 was the year! This hotel is one of the top 3 on the whole island! absolute luxury, but the best thing about this hotel is the location, directly on the main beach. If you fancy going into the town in the evening to the bars and restauranr then its only a 20 minute walk, the buses run regularly and take 5 minutes outside (1.60euro) or a taxi to the centre is 5 euros. The food served at breakfast is divine, massive selection and all fresh. staff are always on hand for anything you might need and always have a smile! the salon is great too, they will wash your hair and style it if you don't want to, or get a manicure - the girls in there are lovely! the food served during the day is super yummy too!! salt water pool, but is lovely and cool not too cold! comfy sunbeds that you don't have to fight for or reserve at 6am!

Room Tip: superior sea view room, so you can listen to the sea at night and sit on your balcony and watch the waves. no rooms have a view of the sunset as on the wrong side of the island.

If you don't stay here you are truly missing out. The staff are some of the very best & most helpful staff I have ever come across. The views are stunning , the pool is magnificent & the beer is cold. The beach below is picture postcard stuff. The place is exceptionally well priced for what it offers and if you feel like a cheap beer or gyros or anything from the small supermarkets, they are 20 m below the hotel.

Room Tip: I think they all have magnificent views , so shouldn't make a difference!

The Ios Palace is just about the friendliest hotel on the plaanet. While we were there we had a few problems with the toilet breaking down, but that was quickly rectified. We also had problems with the internal telephone, but to be fair it had just rained and Ios doesn't react well to rain!
Apart from these minor quibbles we had a wonderful time, the staff were helpful and it was a very relaxing holiday.
My wife was ill while we were at the hotel. The whole Island came down with a nasty bug. Again the staff could not have been more attentive. We love the Ios Palace and will be going back.

Room Tip: If you can afford it, it is probably better to pay for a bigger / more luxurious room, but we had a basic model and it was perfectly adequate for two.

My stay at the Ios Palace was perfect. I stayed there with a large group of friends for about 10 nights, and felt perfectly at home. Besides the outstanding rooms (which are clean, comfortable and have outstanding views), the amazing facilities and restaurants, the best best part about the Ios Palace is the staff. Dina, the hotel manager, is friendly, calm, and sociable all the while taking care of any problems we had. The receptionists, Maria and Sofia were helpful and kind, going out of their way to help us in any way. The restaurant and bar manager, Athina, was incredibly thoughtful, as she prepared special meals for everyone who had food allergies. She engages with the guests, sharing stories and giving advice, and is the heart and soul of the hotel. The rest of the staff was also so friendly and professional, and really made our stay an unforgettable one.

Room Tip: The rooms in the upper section of the hotel are quite burdensome to get to, but in exchange you get a breathtaking view.
