Excelled in all areas.....The view was amazing; location was perfect (ocean view & only 5 min taxi to the Village); staff were extremely friendly, professional and helpful; room was fresh & comfortable; facilities were ideal (especially the pool & cocktail bar!); food was delicious (cherry tomato's have a new meaning to me now); the onsite spa was definitely worth it; day tours easily accessible.....I seriously just loved everything about it!! The only downside was that our time went too quick! 5 nights is not enough people!!!

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room with the ocean view...i believe there is one type of room that doesnt have...

Location is amazing. Pool is definitely best part, decor was very well thought out, fresh and tasteful. Staff very helpful. Food was awesome BBQ in particular every afternoon is very reasonably priced and generous amounts. Breakfast buffet was comprehensive. Only downside there is a walkway that runs down the hillside along the hotel perimeter which is very busy at all hours of the night. Not a big issue if your balcony door is closed. Not much need to leave the hotel everything was there.

All rooms have a sea view - consider need to pay for any upgrade re room type perhaps because of this. Basic double room was large with balcony, kingsize bed, bath and shower, fridge, air con, no safe - but possibility of using a safety deposit box free of charge in reception. Hotel has a marvellous location and view over stunning beach, pools excellent, spa/gym super, often empty. Breakfast good but flies were a problem whilst we were there. Towels for pool available at reception. Wonderful value for money. HOWEVER - be warned that you might suffer from interrupted or little sleep if you find your neighbours are young, if they buy cheap alcohol in the local shops, stay drinking in their rooms till 2am before heading into town where nightclubs open at 3am. This resort attracts many young holiday makers. Some of them stay in this hotel and a minority can spoil the peace for those of us who prefer to sleep rather than party in the early hours. We had 2 great nights here, then 2 disturbed ones.

Room Tip: All rooms have wonderful sea views. We did appreciate the better view from a higher floor.

Myself and my husband got married at the palace in June this year. There are no words for how special our day was and the efforts all the staff at the palace went to.
Last year we visited the island to decide where we wanted to have our reception and from the moment of meeting Dina (hotel manager) and Athina (food and beverage manager) there was no doubts!
We had great contact throughout the year, they organised the most beautiful beach, decorations, fireworks, lanterns...everything we wanted and more, it really was a dream.
The food was outstanding, absolutely gorgeous! The rooms were stunning with amazing views and so clean.
I can't put properly into words how much the staff did for us and made our dream a reality. Dina, Athina, Terry and Maria, and all the staff at the palace - a huge massive thank you! You are amazing people, nothing was too much for you all and you made us feel so special. Thank you thank you thank you! We will Never forget what you did for us!! We'll see you next year x x

It's hard to say which I loved most, the incredible view of Mylopotas Beach, or the warmth of the staff. Ios Palace is situated 5 miles from the port of Yialos on one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen. We stayed in room 128 which was a junior suite and had a commanding view. The room was clean and incredibly large. The room rate seemed a little pricey at first but considering the room, the view, the breakfast (included), and the wonderful friendly staff it was certainly worth it. This was our second visit to Ios, our first being in the early 70's where we camped in the rocks below the Harmony restaurant, right next to the Ios Palace. What fun to find the old camping spot, and what an incredible upgrade to sleep in the comfortable bed at Ios Palace is 40 some years later! We had a 4:00pm ferry on the day we checked out, and the great staff stowed our luggage and got us into a room to shower and clean up before leaving. They really go out of the way for their guests. I even got a hug when leaving!! Quite a different feeling than we got in Paris the year before ;-) The staff from housekeeping to reception to food service to bar and wait staff were ALL friendly and over the top kind. The only downside I can see is if you are disabled it may be difficult to maneuver around as the rooms are up a hillside (better views the higher you get). Ios is also known for it's bars and partying. We did experience a party bus which dropped what seemed like thousands of young partiers near the hotel, but they quickly dispersed to various locations around the beach. There was minimal noise around the hotel late at night. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to be back soon!

Room Tip: The higher rooms have best views and are quieter but require some stairs and walking.

I had the most wonderful stay at the Ios palace hotel and spa! The staff were so amazing and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and clean. I loved this hotel so much that I cut my stay in Mykonos short to return to to Ios to stay here! It is the best value for money.

The Ios Palace, by the name even is truly a palace. The staff are the friendliest, most caring people to have ever worked in the hospitality industry. 5 star staff. The palace itself (enormous in size, a maze of its own) made our stay of two weeks unbelievably enjoyable.

The services. Its not perfect. It's better than perfect. Spotless housekeeping, efficient and delicious room service, genuinely caring people and simply a fantastic hotel. Without a doubt the best hotel in Ios, arguably even Greece. Located 15 seconds from the Mylopotas Beach, and 10 minutes from the center of the village, it's truly an unreal experience.

Thank you to all the staff (you know who you are) for making this stay in the palace fantastic.
