Stayed here for 6 nights in August 2010. We were collected from the ferry which was nice. The room was nice but fairly small. The shower was a disaster as it drowned the whole bathroom every time you had a shower. The pool was lovely with a great view of mylopotos beach. The hotel is set on cliff. There is a short cut to the beach down very steep steps which was a tough climb when returning to the hotel. The breakfast was fine, very nice baconand chocolate brownies. There is no restaurant in the hotel or snack service at the bar ( or so we were told). This ment you couldn't spend a day at the pool without a trip down to the beach to have lunch via the steps. Saying that the food at the beach was gorgeous especially Delphinos for thai food. On the last day they showed us a limited snack menu for pool! A bit late then. The Beer at the pool bar was over priced at 5 euro for local small Mythos Beer compared to 2.50 at beach. Coke was 3.50 compared to 1.50.
The hotel is family run and at times you felt like you were in the way a bit especially with the younger staff. They did say hello etc but it all seemed a bit false. Also they seemed to have friends over a lot.. The reception was help when we needed a hire car. The hotel is more like apartments or suites with a pool area. The Island of Ios is fabulous for a beach holiday however I would choose a different hotel perhaps Ios palace as it looked lovely and was nearer beach.
