We stayed in a 2 bedroom VIP refurbished cottage. On initial arrival we did feel that the cottage was quite dated with the bathroom being the main area of refurbishment, Perhaps our expectations of a refurb differs from most, but the cottage grew on us when we realised all the properties were identical in look.
Positives: Good for freedom, Cycling, friendly staff, lots of things to do, and our family all learned to ski during the week (special thanks to Tim who was superb at teaching our group) . Pool area was good, seemed clean and drinks were reasonable in the parc (Heineken 3.90 euros). Kids enjoyed it.
Negatives: Cottage felt dated and could do with a proper refurb. Seems some people park where they want to not in parking areas. Main complaint is a computerized system would be useful. We had tickets to use the pool each day, a piece of paper needed each day for skiing, bits of paper for euros bought in advance, a bit of paper for kids eat free, more bits of paper for booking up things, a map because the app didnt work great and free wifi ran out after 3 days. A system where staff could check your reservation on a computer or bracelet system would be less stressful as one day i had to go back to our cottage as I had forgotten the kids eat free paper and there was no way for someone to check if we had paid for this option without a tiny bit of paper. I ended up taken my full printed summary! there must be an easier way.

A good fun family break. Safe environment for children and plenty to do. The whole area is very flat, so excellent for the young or less able cyclist.
I would recommend a VIP Cottage as they are by far the best, although a bit more pricey but worth it.
The swimming pool is great and I have yet to find anyone who doesn't enjoy it.

Room Tip: Get a VIP Cottage, they are by far the best and definately worth the extra money

Having visited both Sherwood and Whinfell we decided to chance it any try a continental Center Parcs.

Overall we were (generally) not disappointed.

Park was laid out well, easy to get around and with it being Holland it was flat.

Booked a "Kids Premium" Villa.........premium may have a slightly different meaning in Holland as to the UK. Although refurbed, clean, fairly spacious and in a good position on the site the accommodation was 2* at best. Fist night 4 of the party were attacked by mozzies. From then on we had to sit in the villa with no doors or windows open......and bearing in mind it 28 deg outside this was unpleasant.

The villa was damp (could not even get towels dry, had to use launderette on site) and we mentioned this to reception who admitted this was not the first complaint. BUT spent little time in the Villa, so not a massive deal.

Kids enjoyed the wide array of activities, however very disappointed that they could not zip wire over the lake as it is only on twice a week for 1 hr each time and both sessions were fully booked. Not mentioned anywhere on the website or if so we missed it.

Shop on site very well stocked, prices reasonable - certainly cheaper than the UK equivalent at Center Parcs. Great range of Holland / Belgium beers so certainly improvement on the UK here!

Restaurants were very good - the recently opened Evergreenz (eat as much as you like buffet) was our favourite, with bits to suit all tastes.

Yes the pool and slides were smaller than their UK counterparts, but many an enjoyable hour spent there.

Kids loved the snow center, 10euros for half an hour on a rubber ring down one of the slopes.

Overall, definitely worth a visit. Staff spoke excellent English and were to a person very helpful at all times. Very laid back relaxing feel which suited us, plenty to do if you want or if not just a stroll about or easy to pop into Eindhoven for shopping etc.

Like stated, only downside was the villa but as you do not spend a great deal of time there it did not ruin the holiday.

Had a good time - but not all activites are available all the times on all dates - and when they are available they sell out fast - so book fast! Water skiing and segwaying are excellent - allthough the long walk back if you fell off at the other side of the lake was very annoying - would have been nice if they picked you up in the boat and offered some more advice rather than making you walk the long plank - or had another launch point on the other side....The waterslide in the pool was amazing (as well as the assortment of pools available - including a cold "plunge" pool beside the outdoor pool - great fun!!!). Unfortunately we didn't make it to the ski slope - but the adverts looked good. Food at the village isn't great and is very expensive - no oven in kitchen limiting what you can cook at the cottage (a bit annoying). The local village has some nice places to eat - including a pizza take-away and a chinese restaraunt that also does take-away - both very nice. The car free aspect of the park is great - allthough the golf-cars that people can hire are a bit annoying. We had a variety of wildlife to watch right outside the cottage - including sheep on two days! Lovely view with no disturbance from neighbours. The cottage it's self was a bit tired (number 112) - and the nearby "cool fastor" guns bleeping at various points from 10am was a little annoying! Beds were far too soft - a type of memory foam - not nice.
The "log Fire" in the room was great fun - our 14 year old thoroughly enjoyed making a fire for us most nights - even though it was already quite warm!

A great family holiday. Brilliant activities and the villa was clean and met all our needs. Very little wrong, just would have liked an oven in the kitchen and better( ie quicker) service in the Grill restaurant. Pasta Pizza place much better and better value for money.

Be careful when bookng you lodge, the premium lodges are really NOT premium! All very old and tired and in need a of a refurb. Try and book the Eden or VIP lodges, or anything they state is new. Beds were awful, ended up sleeping on the sofa, not really what I expect from a holiday home. Be prepared to put your hands in your pockets for absolutely everything, food very average on site, supermarket was pretty good, not my favourite place, but my son did enjoy it.....

Quite a large site, very well laid out in the usual Center Parcs way, lots of space for cycling, chalet was just the same as UK CP sites, quite comfortable but all a bit 'well used' and the drains were not working very well. The pool and slides were OK but smaller and disappointing if you have been to Elveden or other UK sites. Quite limited choice of restaurants compared to UK sites and expensive. Snow Centre was great, not too many people, ski instructor was excellent. water skiing looked good too but we did not try it. The WiFi was expensive and did not work well.
overall the site is getting a bit past its best, particularly the pool, but the cost for a week in the school holidays was so much less than UK sites that overall we would recommend it.
