Absolutely lovely B & B - but beware - it is 1.1 miles off route and to the pub. The owner will run you to the pub at night, but you have to wait for the landlord to run you back - no good if you want an early start for the 20 miles next day. That said, it really is fabulous, with home made cakes and a lovely breakfast. And the garden and views are wonderful. If they considered doing evening meals, they's be on to a real winner.

At first I was reluctant to stay at Laneside as I couldn't find any pictures of it (there website was down), and the price seemed quite cheap. Only the previous review on Trip Advisor convinced me to give it a go.
I am so glad I booked !!!
This is an immaculate B&B. The bathrooms are huge, spotless and luxurious. In fact everything is spotless. Unlike many immaculate B&B where the hosts can be very standoffish, the hosts were totally welcoming, chatty and great fun. A lift to the pub was provided. There are beautiful views over the garden, orchard and valley. The breakfast was wonderful. All for £40 (single occupancy), I think they are £30 for sharing.
Don't be put off by the lack of website, online payments, or even credit card payments. The fact that they are not technology savvy doesn't mean they can't run a superb B&B.
It was so good that I'm currently thinking of an excuse to go back.
I can't praise it highly enough.

This B and B opened this year - purpose building attached to old stone house. great hospitality - en suite with wonderful power showers and heated towel rails. Comfortable beds and TV in room. New windows that open for fresh air and dawn chorus. Breakfast in new dining room with lovely crockery and very good fresh breakfast - good coffee and best bacon of the 12 b and b's we stayed in on this trip. Fresh flowers from the garden in the house. Very welcoming hosts.
Lovely warm house with light coloured carpets - you just know its clean !
A delight - thank you !
