We stayed at red house farm holiday cottages in January this year. Although the weather was rather disastrously cold and wet, the welcome of Mr and Mrs Splash made our stay warmer than we could have hoped for.
The holiday cottage itself was clean, cosy and tranquil. The amenities provided were excellent and the joy of having an open fire after a long days hike was well enjoyed!
Although the farm itself is a little out of the way we found this perfect for the type of getaway we were looking for. Excellent walks in every direction and scenery to take your breath away.
The owners were so attentive to our every need!
This is definitely a holiday destination that we would return to again and again.

Thank you so much for a unforgettable holiday.

“Relaxing, quaint, comfortable cottage”
Reviewed 4 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Just returned from a family weekend break for mothers day, with my son, wife and baby granddaughter. The weather was not so good, but did not spoil our weekend one bit.
Red house farm was so welcoming, with its quaint, quirky features, we all fell in love with the place instantly. The ambiance was so warm and comforting, the log burner kept us toasty at night and the cockerels woke us in the mornings.
The owners were a lovely accommodating couple, most welcoming and friendly.
We will definitely be returning.

“Cottages as they should be.”
Reviewed 25 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The Old Sheaf Barn at Red House Farm is renovated to a very high standard. It is very rustic but oozes plenty of charm and character. It is immaculate, very well equipped, cosy cottage with a lovely log burner. We loved the the living space on the upper level as this made the best of the gorgeous views across and up the dale.

There was a lovely welcome and service from Sandra and Tom, who went that extra mile to make our stay a memorable one. We couldn't find fault with this place and it thoroughly deserves its 5-star rating. We will be back.
