Owner description: The Jameos del Agua was the Centre of Art, Culture and Tourism to be created by César Manrique and reflects one of the cornerstones of his creative work: harmony between nature and artistic creation. The Jameos del Agua are located inside the volcanic tunnel created by the eruption of La Corona Volcano, one of the longest in the world, at 6 kilometres in length.

We rented a car for the day and ticked off the main sights... Timanfaya, the camels, teguise and jameous del aqua - and it cost a lot less than the tours. They are all well signposted.

There is a 9 Euro per adult charge to get in but Our 4yr old was free.

He was a little disappointed because he is used to caves in England, which stretch a long way. If you don't stop to take in the ambience, have a drink, sit down, etc, then you will be through the attraction in about 5 mins.

The little white crabs are fairly amazing, but I gave to say that the clearness of the water impressed me the most. It looks like a sheet of glass, with a deep pool underneath it. Definitely worth a visit, but just don't expect a cave system!

First of all I must stress people with walking difficulties must in no way attempt this atraction..Idid ,fell and nearly finished up with the blind albino crabs!
Many thanks to the german couple who plastered my bleeding knee..
IF you ignore my advice and tread very carefully after the breathtaking underground lake you come to the auditorium which must be seen to be believed. The accoustics are fantastic.

I loved it here. It is very tranquil and peaceful with soothing music playing. The white crabs are definitely worth seeing and the chocolate and orange muffins were gorgeous. Definitely worth a visit if you are going to Lanzarote.

This place is surprisingly beautiful, take a camera. The light is beautiful as it streams down into the tunnel, the tunnel is short so it is not at all claustrophic and you can see both the entrance and exit. The albino crabs are fun to see, but it's the light and ambience of the place that has a bit of magic to it. Glad we went. Sad we didn't have more time here. Also, if you want to buy some Olivina jewellery, this place is actually very good value!

This is great place to experience. Very unlike anything else we have seen. Try also to see the Mirador del Rio which is not far.
