This was the first time I had been down to the King's Head after rave reviews from friends. The room was incredible, the bathroom was something I'd expect to be paying a lot more for!! Super clean and very homely. The receptionist was really friendly and the staff the next morning at breakfast were all too willing to help. We had supper in the pub,I had the thai green curry and would honestly go and stay there again just for that. Overall a friendly place, delicious food and a definite new favorite. Thank you all for your warm welcome.

Dear EDavies508,
Thank you for the fabulous review. The Green Thai Curry is delicious, you will have to come back on curry night (Every Tuesday) when we have over 10 home-made curries on offer.
Hope to see you again soon,

I arranged a 2 night Living Social stay 3 couples to celebrate my 66th birthday. We all were very impressed with the quality of our Deluxe rooms all of which were a good size, clean & well furnished.
Breakfasts were excellent with a very good choice. We ate in the pub on both nights & again the quality & portions of food was excellent. Food was complimented with a great choice of ales & wines. Locally produced Gower Gold beer was superb.
Staff were all very pleasant & accomodating.
A great location with good, honest service & offerings.
Thoroughly recommend

This was the first time that we'd taken our dog with us on a holiday break - and when looking for a 'dog friendly' hotel my concern was that we would find one with rooms like kennels, with flagstone floors and smelling like wet animals!

How wrong was I!

Nothing could be further from the truth as far as the Kings Head is concerned. The 'pet rooms' with their en suite bathrooms are large, airy, warm, spotlessly clean and - with their super king giant beds - simply splendid. They are also set a little to the rear of the pub - so no noise.

The welcome and ongoing friendliness is outstanding and the food - locally sourced and produced - is first class pub fare plus.

Whatever your purpose for a visit to the Gower - stay here. Cannot recommend highly enough, this is a gem of a find and a perfect base from which to explore the area....with staff and locals only too keen to get the best from your stay.

Our first visit - but it won't be our last,

An excellent few days. We were allocated a 1st floor room up stairs with a shower over the bath. When I mentioned I had arthritis, the receptionist very kindly offered us a ground floor room with a huge wet room & obviously no stairs. The rooms were spotlessly clean & were cosily warm with underfloor heating. As it was a wet & stormy few days & my husband & I are not too mobile, the comfort of the room was very welcome. Just a few little gripes, 2 armchairs would have been nice rather than 1 armchair & 1 upright chair. Also, for a longer holiday, more drawer space & coat hangers would have been necessary. As we are not very mobile, the walk to the pub over a rough carpark in heavy rain & strong wind was really difficult. But the breakfast & evening meals were well served & delicious. I must add that all the staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable few days.

Room Tip: We paid to have an upgrade so had a much larger room which was well worth the expense.

Excellent location, rooms & food. Good welcome on arrival and our room had a fantastic view from which we saw 2 fab sunsets. Rooms good standard and large. Bathrooms had a great bath and shower.
Food at the pub great, both for dinner and breakfast.
Rain gutters noisy when it rained wouldn't have liked to try and sleep a night with that but we were lucky and only had rain in the morning when we were awake.
Over all fantastic and will go back.
Poor points : light out in bathroom, no spare toilet roll, tissues ran out but not replaced, king bed was two singles together with a large uncomfortable join, bathroom starting to get mould.
The only reason we have put these points up is so The Kings Head keeps what is a fantastic hotel
And can ensure little things are dealt with.

Room Tip: Upgrade to delux king for great views
