We know the area well, but have stayed further from the beach before.Victory Village is a very attractive complex, with a very pleasant pool/cafe to suit your needs. It is very close to the beach to enable you to come and go as you please. There is no shop nearby,so if you choose not have a car-a supermarket shop is essential prior to your arrival. Its very easy, and a taxi might wait for you at the shop. The house was well equipped with everything you may need.
We had a fantastic week in this chic, modern well-equipped apartment, minutes from the beach and with on-site swimming pool and bar. We couldn't fault it or the welcome we had from Tim and Eve, who run it for the owners. The bed was 6ft, which for me, is an essential and there were sofa beds and a cot so it would easily accommodate a family. The apartment is exceptionally spacious for a one-bed, with two terraces, the lower floor bedroom opening out to communal lawns... We couldn't recommend this apartment more and will definitely come again!
Spacious apartment which suited our needs with a young one (14 months). Great to have all the baby facilities, namely the proper cot bed (not just travel cot), stairgate, highchair and changing mat. Couple of small suggestions, would also be useful to include a non slip mat in bath (for bathing a young one) and also have more space for food storage in the kitchen. Although it was a well stocked kitchen there was only limited space to keep food as we catered in every night. Bed was very comfortable and great to have the DVDs for the evenings. Really enjoyed The Shack for sundowners which was an easy walk away and our early morning runs by the lagoon. Very relaxing break which was much needed and our little one loved it.
Just returned from two week's of much needed rest in this well appointed apartment that has everything you might need and more. Add to that the fantastic welcome and support we received from Tim and Eve who look after the place, the surrounding tranquility of Quinta do Lago and the Formosa Park and nearby proximity (by car) of shops, bars and restaurants and you have all the ingredients for a 5 Star holiday. A short walk down the hill and you will find the famous wooden bridge that takes you across the mud flats to the dunes, Gigi's (expensive but good) and the endless sandy beach.
The living space upstairs is spacious and airy with a SE balcony which holds the sun until about 2pm. You will hear the planes taking off from Faro if they are using the Western runway but it didn't bother us and there are none through the night. Quinta do Lago shopping and bars are just 5 minutes by car and Julia's Beach Bar (far and away our favourite) is 10 minutes. (you can walk to Julia's along the beach but it is best part of an hour). The bedroom is also spacious with a large double (and cot facilities stowed in the corner). Large double wardrobe with enough hangers to stay a month! The bathroom was fine albeit basic and the upstairs shower room is useful but the enclosure is a bit tight for a 'larger person' like me! the two docking stations were and unexpected bonus but TV was disappointing with no Sky and no BBC either. (Tim explained the complications with satellite and cable in the area.)
The adjacent pool complex is highly recommended with its coffeeshop/bar and beautiful setting and vast array of comfortable loungers and tables etc. The pool water was quite cold but warmer than we expected for May and a lot warmer than the sea! Thanks to Tim and Eve for looking after us and sending details of the Segway experience which was a lot of fun.

We spent a chilled out relaxing week in this very nice , comfortable and well equipped apartment facilitated by the help and assistance of Tim & Eve for whom nothing was to much trouble. We are very grateful for their kindness and look forward to returning again.
