What a great little find. Good value, clean in a residential area but close to the quaint little village that tumbles down to the beach.Sit by the waters edge in the evening and wait for the 'catch' to come in. You can buy the fresh fish directly from the fishing boat - marvellous!
Beautiful beaches and wonderful food!

Room Tip: Try and face the pool.

We have stayed here a couple of times and I was so disappointed this time. They have closed the reception and also the seating area is locked up at reception area, if you want to check in, you have to go to the Oceanus hotel but the gate is locked if you have to check in late at night, so a trip away round with your suitcase and back isn't good. The towels and bedding are old now so could be doing with being replaced. I am sorry that I won't be staying here again as it isn't as it used to be. The pool area needs a place to get drinks or ice cream too.

Room Tip: I would ask for a poolside room as the road side rooms can be noisy

We booked with through Jet2 as it was advertised as a hotel in Albuferia, in reality the hotel is in Ohlos D'Agua and upon arrival there looked little about. We were dropped off at the front of the building and had to trapse round the block as the hotel reception was closed and we had to check in at the Oceanus which was next door. This left us a little waryto start with.

Upon entering the hotel itself we realised there was nothing to be wary of, the communal areas were very clean and could only be accessed via card entry so no one can walk in off the street, the lighting on the corridors is activated only when you walk in them so very enviro friendly. The room itself was a good size, a single bed just as you enter which could be used as a sofa, seperate bathroom with a very good shower, good size newly done out kitchen with all the gadgets you'd need, microwave, toaster etc and well equipped with knives, cooking utensil (we didn't us these), plates etc, there was a good sized table to eat off, two comft chairs , flat screen TV. The bedroom could be screened off and the only fault we had was that the pillows were on the small size and were only just bigger than cushions but there were spares, we used two so it was no problem really. The room was cleaned 6 times whilst we were there so we had no complaints.

The pool area, we couldn't believe more people didn't use this, some days we could be there for hours before any one else joined us. The pool area was clean, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. There is a kiddies pool, the shallow end was 1mt 10 but the deep end was very deep, 3 mt 10. There was also a small bar which opened in the afternoon, usually from about 1 until 5. Probably in high season it would be open longer hours, there was also a restuarant attached to the hotel but we didn't use this, it smelt nice and the menu looked good but we preferred to go further into the village to eat.

On the back of the property you can see a chinese and couple of traditional restuarants, further up the street at the back was the pharmacy and there was also a really good sandwich cafe, Nicola, which we used at dinner. There is also a supermarket nearby which seemed to be open longer hours than Tesco.

The village itself seemed really small but as you explore there seemed to be more bars, restuarants and different ways to get back to the hotel other than the killer hill where Friends bar is. There are some really nice restuarants in the resort, Cantil, Fratelli and the one with the yellow canopy at the back of the hotel (can't remember it's name) are really good, enjoyed Azul and Ambrosia & Nectar as well, ate there when Portugal played in the Euro's and there was a really good atmosphere. For a couple of really good bars try Pickwicks near the beach, they have some interesting pictures of how the resort used to look and Friends Bar, Ricardo is a top bloke!

To begin with we didn't know if there would be enough bars and restuarants for us for the week but by the time we were due to leave we could have easily stayed another week!

Room Tip: get out and about and explore!

We had an excellent stay at these appartments and were very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of accommodation and fantastic service of the staff. We had booked these appartments at a very reasonable price as we were just looking for basic accomodation as we were driving to seville to see u2 and just wanted clean accomodation to base ourselves, we got very much more than we were anticipating! The resort itself is fairly small but compact with some very nice restaurants including the one within the appartments and has a lovely beach too. As we had a car, we were able to drive to a few other beaches in the region and they were all superb so overall i would highly recommend it to anyone considering visiting here

More than we could of ever have expected. A truly exceptional resort in the quiet town of Olhos D'Agua, combining the best of both worlds in an aparthotel. Incredibly friendly staff helped out wherever needed, especially in organising transfers to the airport at the end of our stay, and planning and organising our excursion trips out and about. Excellent accomodation, superb range of food both from the resort, and the range of restaurants and bars locally, again all with incredibly welcoming hospitality, and traditional Portugese cuisine. We would highly recommend the Cafe Bar Bistro on Rua Da Ladeira ( A 5 minute walk from the resort towards the beach). We had a perfect meal here on our last evening, the service, the food, the atmosphere.......everything was superb, was a truly perfect end to our stay.
The Cabana Bar again just a 5 minute walk from the resort is a great place to go of an evening. A great atmosphere, friendly staff, and an excellent range of cocktails really set this place apart from anywhere else we went.
Olhos D'Agua is a picturesque, traditional Portugese town, which is siutated perfectly outside of Albufeira, in a location which is far enough out for a quiet stay, but well within a short taxi ride, should the desire to visit Albufeira take your fancy ( Just 6 Euro's to the old town !!)
We'll definately be back !!!

This hotel was lovely! it was clean and the staff very helpful .It was quiet at this time but perfect for us, relaxed and peaceful. We ate at the poolside snack bar for lunch most days, it was lovely food well presented and tasty. Surrounded by lovely restaurants and bars our favorites were Restaurant Dwarte, I Fratelli also one on the beach front which i can not remember the name of, it was the last one on the right hand side if you were standing on the beach, when we ate there one of the waiters ran us back to our hotel and would not accept any money. The food was excelent in all three and the staff were lovely and friendly i wish i was still there! On the downside if you have walking difficulties its not the place for you as the hills are steep and there are lots of steps.

We have just returned from the Olhos de Agua aparthotel in the Algarve, this being our first visit to Portugal,"what a choice we made"
Everything had been totally refurbished it was like new,the kitchen and all the dishes etc were immaculate.
We booked this winter break on the internet and visited trip advisor to read the comments that others had made this swayed our decision to book this hotel.
The retaurant "A Cantina" served first class meals with polite and efficient service.
The people and the service was faultless.
This Aparthotel had a sister hotel The Oceanus next door ,again of the same standard, the facilities of both hotels could be used.
The standard of both these hotels are well worthy of a 4 star rating if not higher.
This is definately a great place to stay and a lovely resort and we will be returning and recommending this to relatives and friends.
