Well worth the visit if you are interested in this kind of history well I am the working water garden is worth the 50 cent euro to see it working or better still wait for maybe someone else to pay.Good pair of trainers needed also not much shade around site the was a small kiosk that sold me a bottle of water as I had run out that day while walking round the site.

Really enjoyed a visit here. Loads to see, great mosaics, Roman baths etc. We were very lucky and had an archeological friend who showed us round, there's not a huge about of information in English. But it is interesting. Be warned, very little shelter from the sun, so it's very hot. Could do with a wee stall selling water/ ice creams etc.
Restaurant was fantastic. Delicious food and wine, set menu, olives, bread, soup, main, sweet and wine/beer 12.50€. Great value

This is well worth the visit, its was really hot when we were there, so be careful as there is no shade at all. But it does give you an idea of what life might have looked like a very long time away. You get a good idea about what houses were like in Roman times as some of the floors are in immaculate condition.

Enough of me telling you, please visit, you will not be disappointed.

Okay, I keep couching all my reviews in "if this is your kind of thing, you'll like it" language. This is another of those sites. It's open air and requires a lot of walking, it is a nice Roman site though not as extensive as many others, but it is still nice. The information is well presented, the museum is informative, and it does have a nice water feature that is worth experiencing. So, the house of the fountains has a working Roman fountain, which is neat because you get the sense of what the house would have sounded like when it was being used. I've been to a lot of these kinds of sites, but I am not enough of a snob to say it isn't worth going to. Don't expect Rome or Pompeii. But if this is the kind of site that you think you'd like, you probably will find it worthwhile.

This is definitely a "hidden gem" that shouldn't be missed if you fit it in. Very large site with lots of of things to see as well as an excellent museum.
