Called here after a walk and really enjoyed the traditional bread soup followed by espadrilles with banana. Good service, friendly helpful staff and great location

Home made soup with bread, egg and herbs- well...that was so hot that I could taste nothing else but my wife liked it (the soup, that is).
Fish in wine and garlic was rather like in vinegar- no taste of wine but plenty of vinegar.
Fish with banana- sweet and nice but nezt time definitely without a banana!
Mens toilet- no sit, please fix.

We stopped here on our way back from a walk. The views are delightful, the staff are friendly and the chocolate cake is delicious! We sat out on the terrace and enjoyed the stunning views. A good place to call in following walk #57 in Rolf Goetz's Madeira walking guide.

This very pleasant, clean and smart cafe / restaurant is close to the lighthouse and well signposted from the (main) road. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is very good, in terms of both quantity and quality. We had the toasted chicken sandwich and an omelette (which came with a good portion of chips and a salad) plus tea. At €17 it was very good value. Variety of food & drinks is good. Parking is easy and the views terrific. Well worth a visit if you’re near this end of the island.

The staff are so welcoming at this charming place which is so much more than a tea house. We had toasted sandwiches, the fresh herb tea which was delicious and a piece of the marble cake which was moist and tasty. They also offer main course meals as well which we did not have, however the menu looked good. Great to combine with a walk to the Faro (light house) or for after a levada walk as we did.
