Popped in for a spot of lunch, and went for the £6.99 Ham, Egg & Chips. Not exactly the biggest portion of chips, and a couple of slices of suspiciously 'round' slices of processed tasting ham. My wife had quite possibly the smallest bowl of soup I've ever seen, lucky she only got 1 slice of bread with it....any more and I don't think the soup could have coped. She had to add a fair bit of salt, as it was rather tasteless. Both of these dishes were on the 'Daily Deal' list, which makes you think that smaller portions were served up (if so they weren't much of a deal!) Perhaps I'm wrong and the portion control is enforced vigorously at this restaurant. Anyway, it filled a hole (just) but was instantly forgettable.

We went here for Sunday lunch and arrived at 11.30am, so one of the first in. Waited over half an hour for meals even though hardly anyone in the restaurant. Roast dinners are quite expensive for what you get, frozen roast potatoes, small amount of frozen swede and cabbage. Child's burger so overdone couldn't be chewed. We then ordered pudding and waited 40 minutes! with a 2 year old this was not fun. Would hate to know how they cope when busy as half the restaurant was empty. Normally i'm a big fan of table table but I would not go back here.

For a Whitbread site of Microwave and Boil in the bag food it is disturbing when you enter this site where half the tables are empty to be told they cannot possibly serve you to a table for at least half an hour as the Kitchen cannot cope- this is the height of the tourist season. It is obvious that this site is understaffed as a lot of Whitbread sites are begging the question should Whitbread be in business?

Your typical chain restaurant. Could have been in Harvester, Beefeater or any large chain without noticing! Food was of an average price.
No reservation. Didn't seem too busy. Initial contact was pleasant and prompt and a table easily found. Drinks order taken promptly, and again prompt with taking the order. That's when the wait began.
Food was of an acceptable standard for the price, although the a Wild Mushroom Rissotto left a bit to the imagination! Very gloopy, and only one mushroom in the entire dish!!!!
Then there was a very long wait to pay, as it had to be done at the bar along with those just there for a drink.
Won't hurry back there.

There were six of us all adults and we were staying at the attached Premier Inn who had made the booking for us. It was a very busy night and the staff were working really hard as they had two new members of staff on duty who needed supporting.
We got ourselves drinks at the bar which we took through to the restaurant with us, I think the waitress was thankful for this as it was one less thing for her to do; she was rushed off her feet.
Having said the waitress was rushed off her feet she still took her time to explain the allergies to our guest with specific dietary needs, this was much appreciated. Only one member of our party had a starter and we had a good wait for the main dishes but the food was really hot, tasty and well presented. All six of us had desert, there was only a short wait for these and special care was given to out party with dietary needs.
There was a decent selection of dishes to choose from.
Considering how busy the staff were our waitress was pleasant, smiley and helpful all of the time we had no reason to complain.
Would we eat here again? yes in fact we had breakfast there the following day and next day too. On first morning we had the cooked selection and the second day we all had the Continental option. Every one was happy on these occasions too, lots of choice of fruit juices, and good range of all foods. There was even choice of different types of milk .
