Description: A perfect lunch or dinner at Angelos Taverna! The Taverna is located just outside the village on the main road and has a beautiful view of the castle. You can choose to sit in- or outside. We also have a large covered terrace and a beautiful garden. The vegetables come from our own garden, the fish comes from our village fishermen (we get it every morning fresh from the sea) and the meat from the surrounding villages. The Greek cuisine is also very well known for perfect vegetarian dishes. If you have any special requests or diets, please let us know so we can prepare something especially for you.

Having eaten our way around the world for over forty years we have experienced many memorable meals (plus some we would rather forget!). 'Angelos Taverna' in Molyvos is one of the few Greek restaurants that is consistantly good. Good food, hospitality and value for money are the most important factors to consider when eating out - 'Angelos' ticks all those boxes. A traditional Greek menu with a modern twist. By the way - the pastichio is to die for, but you must order it the day before. 'Angelos' is always full so either book or get there early. Well done Angelos and Petra, we look forward to seeing you again next year.

Had a lovely dinner at Angelo's last night with friends. The patio dining area surrounded by flowers and plants -- and under a star filled sky -- plus the most incredible view of the lit up castle. The restaurant was filled with international folks and Greeks -- so you know the food is wonderful if the Greeks show up. We had lovely grilled and baked vegetables, tomato salad, grilled lamb chops (my favorite), and grilled sardines (my second favorite). The house also has very reasonable and delicious red and white wines available. Topping off this dinner was the friendliness of the owners, Petra and Angelos, who made you feel right at home. Don't miss Angelos Taverna at the entrance to Molyvos!

I have been coming to Molyvos twice a year for ten years, and never have I been disappointed with a meal at Angelo's Taverna. From traditional Greek food to fresh fish to occasional experimental dishes that give a new twist to old favorites, the dining experience is always a delight. A couple of years ago, Angelos and Petra moved their operations to a new place with a spacious and lush garden terrace, and plenty of indoor seating if the weather is bad. (Angelos is one of the only restaurants in the village to stay open year-round.) Did I mention the view? While plenty of local restaurants can claim a view of the sea, Angelos has, by far, the best view looking up at the entire village, with the castle perched over it magically lit at night. For anyone who might be as addicted to grilled sardines and fried anchovies as I am, you don't need to go anywhere else. It's easy to find at the entrance to the village on the left (catty-corner from the bus stop). Don't miss this great restaurant with welcoming hosts. It is, well, exceptional!
