The Belvedere Hotel offers within reason everything you can expect from a memorable holiday.
The facilities are modern, well maintained and clean. The atmosphere is quiet, friendly and genuinely helpful, it almost feels like home.
Although it is obviously a matter of personal taste, there are guests who have booked the hotel more than once. Even more than twice, and that is where the way the hotel is run plays a decisive role !!

in brief:
A super hotel, a very nice location, near the sea and the village.
Everything you may need on a holiday is close by, Doctor, pharmacist, supermarket, restaurants bikes, scooters, motorcycles and car rentals. Excursions, boat trips, diving, sailing and hiking.

Unfortunately the hotel is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Tip for mobile telephony:
Make sure you do not use a Turkish provider!!! (Turkey is nearby) This is much more expensive for EU residents!

Room tip: The rooms are spacious, equipped with a bathroom, shower, sink and toilet. TV, telephone, free wifi and air conditioning

Relaxing to the max, that is what this hotel brings to you. Make your own choice on wich pool to take a lively one on Top or the ultimate relax pool down stairs.
The accomodations are great, roomy enough and have absolute gorgious views.
In one word, Great.

Room tip: Each room is excellent

The plus points: 1 The hotel is in a superb location on a hill with fantastic views of the Aegean, the hills and coast around with Turkey beyond. 2. Great for walking - well sign posted trails and tracks complemented by a free map. 3. The staff are friendly and very helpful. 4 Rooms are serviced well - towels changed daily and bed linen every three days and restaurant tables cleared promptly
The minus points 1. The Saga brochure says this is a locally rated four star hotel - it is not! The official rating is three star and we paid the new Greek room tax at the three star rate. 3. After 40 plus Saga holidays I did not expect to have to lay my own table for all three meals or carry glasses of wine from the bar to the table down six steps. 4. The included drinks are beer, wine and Ouzo only. Brave of Saga to deny guests their gin and tonics or after dinner brandy. 5. The food is plentiful, but uninspiring - strange that ice cream and butter only appear every other day. 6 As the hotel is built on a hillside there are numerous steps and one needs to be reasonably fit - reception to lounge 13 steps - lounge to dining room 6 steps.

The good :

The food has been excellent on our all inclusive week. They offer a great choice for both meat eaters and vegetarians.

The staff are very friendly.

The rooms are basic, but clean

The bad:
You will find it difficult to escape loud piped music around the hotel. It seems to be everywhere around main complex all day - not good if you want a quiet relaxation.

The all inclusive doesn't include any format of drinks in your room. There is a fridge but it's empty. The drinks at the bar consists of one okay beer and awful wine (plus the obligatory Ouzo).

The second relaxation pool has a terrible smell of poo that fills the air in waves..... It must be located to the septic tank. This makes it hard to relax with such a horrid smell.

There is a broken walk down a crumbling path to the sea..... no beach and lots of mess.

The bathrooms are dated (circa 1970 Greek bathroom : shower curtain, 1m sqr trough, tiny sink and fixtures)

Would I come again..... err no

Having visited lesbos as a family for many years we love this beautiful island and the friendly greek people.
We chose this hotel as our previous accommodation has closed down, we would never go for all inclusive in Greece but thought it would be ok for breakfast and lunch and would eat out in the evenings. The dining area is like a school canteen with everyone fighting to get to each section. The fruit and salad section was always very good. The hot section although the food was never hot was very poor with very fatty meat dishes and dried out meals.
The beer was poor quality with bits floating in it.
The fruit juice from a machine was always warm.
Although there were signs asking u not to towels were put on all the sun lounger first thing and some were not used all day.

On a plus the staff were friendly and accommodation was clean.

If u want a nice friendly relaxing holiday this is not the hotel for you.
