We spent 14 nights at Plessas Palace in May 2014 , It is a friendly relaxed hotel , the family are all helpful and help to make your stay memorable. It is close to many restaurants and bars and a short walk to the beach. It is clean and comfortable and has a lovely pool area and bar with a wide variety of food and drink available we will be going back in September and would recommend as a destination to all A & J Johnson

We recently stayed at the Plessas Palace in Zante. The family run hotel was excellent. Situated within easy walking distance of various tavernas and bars in the village , the service in the hotel was superb and Nikos who runs the bar is really good fun.The food in the bar is very good and I would highly recommend the tuesday barbecue which was excellent value at 10 euros pp. There is also free wifi in the bar and pool area. Our room had a lovely view overlooking the mountains and was spotlessly clean. The bed was king size with (as has been reviewed before) a very comfortable memory foam mattress and a bonus was that the shower was enclosed in a cubicle which to me anyway is something of a rarity in Greek hotels. Alykanas is quite small and relatively quiet (at least it is in May) but is a lovely place for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday. The hotel is about 3/4 mile from the sea . All in all I would recommend the Plessas Palace to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday but with the option of making it more lively if you wish.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a balcony overlooking the mountains

We had a great stay at the Plessas, the families that own and run the hotel are very friendly and welcome you into their world with fantastic enthusiasm . Nikos runs the bar and is great fun and the food we had from the kitchen was lovely I highly recommend the B-B-Q on a tuesday night, the food was plentiful and of high quality. We will probably go back to Zakynthos one day and if we do we will be staying at the Plessas again.
If you want a very good base for fantastic value then please stay here, you won't be disapointed.

I have just returned from an 11 day break staying at the Plessas Palace and can safely say me and my husband will be repeat visitors. We were looking for somewhere fairly central and with a bit of life, this place did not disappoint, the rooms were great, quite spacious with a good size memory foam mattress (almost unheard of in Greece), with self catering facilities and a lovely new bathroom. It has a lovely pool area and a nice reception with internet facilities as well as WiFi at the bar but the real gem is new bar area (Nikos Place) where the man himself is really entertaining and gets a great atmosphere going. We stayed for one of the weekly BBQ's and it was great value for money, everybody sat together and enjoyed the Greek music and lovely Greek food. All in all, the family who run this place are really friendly, the rooms were modern and the bar had a great vibe, we couldn't of asked for more, we would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a relaxing break with some life but is avoiding the Laganas crowd!

This is very late from the 8th August 2013 but better late than never. Tracey and I stayed for two weeks, and our son, partner and granddaughter Poppy stayed for the first week. The rooms were excellent, the beds, showers and the views. The facilities are first rate, large swimming pool and children's pool, the only one I go in, I hate swimming, are clean and do not have too much chlorine, The meals at the bar are top rate and good value for money. From lunchtime Nikos is the life and soul of the complex, Poppy thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread, Would recommend for Alykanas lovers. Cannot wait for 14th August when we all return and with our oldest son Chris as well. If you want the best facilities, in the best place in Greece go to Alykanas.

Room Tip: Just go for it.
