No, have checked the hotel & we definitely stayed here last July.
Firstly the good points. Our room was huge with separate sleeping area for my son. There was a variety of restaurants to choose from. Some better than others. The staff in the main restaurant were lovely, and variety of the food in the buffet expansive.
However ......
The hotel was packed when we stayed there. We had to queue for everything. Queue to be seated for breakfast. Queue to book restaurants. Queue for the buffet in the evening. The sun loungers round the main family pool were all 'booked' by 8am. I felt I didn't see much of my husband each morning as there always needed to be one of us queuing for something whilst the other looked after our son. We even encountered 'buffet rage' one evening by a lady, who thought someone was queue-jumping !
Shame as the hotel would probably be lovely out of high season. But I felt we were packed in and were ripped off by Thomson extracting lots of money out of us for a luxury holiday which felt too crowded to be properly luxurious. The rep on the coach on the way to the airport asked us all if we had had our Sensatori moment. She got some heckling.

We have just returned from a lovely family holiday at the Sensatori Crete, we booked after friends recommended it to us, but as I said in the title it's not a 5* hotel, as the attention to detail & staff levels just aren't good enough to deliver that 5* wow factor.

Room - no. 4126 (Suite) Our room was nice and the layout worked well for us, but they definitely need refurbishing, the wooden furniture was quite scuffed and the water jets in the bath & shower were really quite minging. It was also reasonably noisy when the entertainment was on, but luckily our kids (age 5 & 2) sleep through anything :-)

Food/Restaurants - The buffet has a really good range of food & everything, especially the desserts, is beautifully presented, but again it's the lack of staff that let it down. The Tex Mex was a bit of a let down for my Husband as it really isn't spicy at all (Great for me though!). The Thai was mine & my daughter's favourite, of the included restaurants. The Red Saffron (Greek) was ok it's a bit of a mixture between table service & buffet style. The Aroma Stone Grill (Pay extra) was the only top up restaurant we visited & this was the only restaurant that delivered the level of service you'd expect in a 5* and the food was brilliant.

Kids Club - The Crèche (0-4) was excellent & the staff were brilliant with our Son, it was open 7 days a week and you can block pre-book either am 9:30 to 1 or pm 1:30 to 5pm sessions. The PlayHouse (3-12) was also really good, but not as available, when we got there on the 6th July they were just starting pre-signing for the sessions, so you have to queue up at 4:15pm the day before to book 1 daytime & an evening session for the following day, we never had a problem getting our daughter into the sessions she wanted, but I can see it becoming an issue during the main summer holidays. Sessions were generally 10am-12pm, 1:30pm-2:30pm or 3pm-4pm (none on a Thursday) and then one evening session (either 7:30pm-9:30pm or 9:30pm-11:30pm), there's also the sleep over on a Monday night 8pm - 8am (which you need to pre-book for on the Sunday).

Pools - The pools were all lovely & warm most of the time, hardly ever saw anyone in the swim up pools as they don't actually connect to the main pools, and the only fresh water pools are the splash pool & kids pool up the top, all the others are salt water.

Beach - The beach isn't brilliant, you definitely need proper beach shoes to go into the water as it's very rocky, which is a shame as the water is lovely.

Overall - Like I said, a lovely holiday & we'd consider going back, but I always got the feeling that it was a case of 'could do better' from the hotel/resort itself, it just lacked attention to detail such as no plastic cups for the children to drink from (a 2 year old with a wine glass full of water is not enjoyable to watch), the TV channels didn't match the menu, the rooms need refurbishing & more thorough cleaning etc

Firstly, we enjoyed ourselves so much, that we have decided to return in August 2016 to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, bringing with us our family including 3 grandchildren.
We had room 4313, a suite with private pool. Our first impression was wow! It was worth the cost of the upgrade and included free drinks during the day in the red carpet lounge.
The food in the main restaurant was as good as any we have experienced in any high end hotel, with the Tex-Mex and Greek Restaurants also providing excellent meals.
The hotel was spotless and service very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment was varied with something for all the family. Don't miss the Adults only comedy club on a Monday night. We have never laughed so much.
The hotel pride themselves on service and as well as their own Customer Relations Manager Vicky, Thomson have their own team, so any issues or questions are always dealt with quickly and efficiently.
The sunsets were beautiful and not to be missed. On leaving the Hotel for home, the luggage was checked in at the Hotel, meaning a fast track at the Airport and thus avoiding the long queues.
It was a brilliant holiday from start to finish. You will not be disappointed.

We came the first year it was open! they had few problems but we knew it would be a great holiday when the porter said this ( i think) is best room in the hotel! we always go for a swim up room and this one had the sun ALL DAY!! it was a great holiday! 2nd and 3rd trips were great as we had great rooms! this trip we had a room that only got the sun in the morning WHICH were were glad of as it was HOT HOT HOT ( we norm aim for sept ) this was july! this time we went full board ( not all inclusive) as we dont drink much ie mainly with meals which is included! the ONLY complaint i have is on day of departure ( we had late check out ) 90 euro ! told yes we can stay in the room only to be told at 11am no we must move! the room wasnt up to much and just a pain on the last day ! i did mention we had been 4 times and were hotel chain club card members but didnt help! what i would say is if you want a weeks holiday in the sun ( swim up or not ) with good food good service ( most of the time ) then go! if your a couple aim for non school holiday times!! ps you get 1 x bottle of water in room when you get there then they advise you by it from the shop! this wasnt the case before but as its so cheap its not a problem !!

Room Tip: swim up rooms in block 6000 onwards

First class resort - fab experience - staff cant do enough for you - would go back in an instant.

On arrival at he hotel we were given an upgrade to a family suite. Very nice touch and much appreciated.

The adults only areas were superb - although all the kids were well behaved.

Well worth its 5 stars

Room Tip: Wi Fi not the best - could do with some attention and upgrade
