I agree fully with the review submitted by kate5283 as I holidayed with their party along with my husband and 19 year old daughter. However I must add that we were allocated room 543 on arrival. We slept well the first night until 7am when we were awoken by loud Greek male voices and reversing beepers coming from the golf buggies used to transport guests around the hotel. The back of the room overlooks the main pool and is beautiful with a decking area to sit on. However on opening the front door we were met by 3 golf buggies on charge, 2 fridges and a laundry trolley. Room 543 is next to the main maintenance room! After 4 nights of very little sleep due to the banging and clanking noises from this room during the day and night we complained to reception. We were offered an alternative room but did not wish to waste time packing up and moving rooms as we were settled. Luckily our friends had brought earplugs with them so we resorted to using them!

I would not wish to put anyone off staying at this hotel as everything else is perfect, however DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 543 !

Room Tip: Any room other than 543

We have just returned from our two weeks vacation in the the Stella Place Hotel. There were 8 of us in our party 5 adults and 3 kids (17, 16, 12) We had 3 great rooms in the 500 blocks at the top pool....the location was perfect for our needs as I had my elderly mom with us too and the late night entertainment was in no way intrusive!! The food was amazing and the buffet had a great variety of foods and gave our children an opportunity to try foods that they wouldn't experience at home. The other two restaurants, La Veranda and The Gourmet were top class and the staff couldn't have been more professional, friendly and would bend over backwards to facilitate you in any way possible. For us the staff is the jewel in the crown for this property......we didn't experience 1 member of staff that didn't have a smile on their face and that's an accomplishment looking at some of the very rude guests that they sometimes had to contend with!! I hate to single anyone of them out but really want to mention and thank Georgio, Eri, Demitris, Tony and Evita for making us feel right at home and for their great humour and hospitality. The Thomas Cook team were also excellent, thanks to Llyod for always being there to answer any of our queries with a smile and to offer guidance when we needed it. Highly recommend this property for all age groups!!! P.S Good luck to Evita who is getting married in November...., from the 8.05pm Irish party:-)

Room Tip: Rooms 514, 513, 511 are great and have a grass area outside of the patio doors. They are really close to the hotel and all have a view of the top pool. A/C is excellent and a refreshing break from the heat.

We stayed here from the 9th of July to the 23rd- we were a group of 5 adults and 2 teenagers (both 16). We arrived late on the 9th but the hotel had saved food for us to have which was much appreciated.

We were staying in a room with 2 adults and 2 teenagers- the first room we were given wasn't appropriate for us as the 2 bedrooms led from one directly into another so had a lack of privacy (not ideal with teenage girls)- the hotel was very accommodating and promptly arranged for us to be moved to room 542 the next morning. This room was much better as it had a second bedroom which was completely separate; the room had a fantastic view of the pool and was very clean. The only issue, which has been mentioned before, was that the shower screen wasn't long enough so the floor got very wet after having showers although this was only a minor issue.

The food at the hotel was brilliant- the best I have ever seen for an all inclusive. Every morning fresh omelettes and pancakes were being made in front of you- the staff making them were extremely friendly and often even remembered the specific way you liked your omelette. At each meal there was a wide variety of food for all ages with fresh pizza being made every evening. There was a variety of themed evenings including Asian, Greek and Italian- the food on these nights was especially impressive with fresh specialities being prepared in view. We also visited the Veranda- the on sight free Asian restaurant- which we were thoroughly impressed with. The 5 course meal was filling but very enjoyable and the staff there were most attentive. They do encourage a smart dress code including trousers and closed in shoes for men but they are understanding if these haven't been packed and will bend the rules if you ask nicely! The only issue with the restaurant was that you had to ask each time for glasses of water which was a pain with a large group but the staff were very attentive and bought them over regularly.

The nearby village of Analipsi was a short walk along the sea front- there were a few bars and tavernas though it was very quiet- we recommend Bora Bora as the staff there were friendly and spoke good English. If you are up for a more lively night Hersonissos would be highly recommended- it cost 12 euros from the hotel to the main centre (the hotel will arrange this for you). It was really busy there and the drinks were very cheap along the main strip. There were clubs, busy bars but also quieter cocktail bars and tavernas- we would recommend Murphy's Bar!

The pool area was beautiful- we used the top pool everyday although the other one seemed to the same high standard. We "saved" sunbeds everyday on account of us being a large group but there was no issue in getting a free sun lounger at any time of the day. The hotel's private beach seemed rather crowded but there were other beaches within close proximity that were much less crowded.

The staff at the hotel were superb! Zulu and Nejib in the animation team were very friendly and enthusiastic and made sure they came and had long chats with us everyday... They're certainly strong characters! The restaurant staff were also brilliant- Daniel and Giannis were outstanding, always being attentive, friendly and polite even when the restaurant was at full capacity. Along with them, the bar staff also made the holiday for us! Giorgios at the piano bar was lovely and we spent many amusing and fun filled evenings with him, sometimes staying up until the early hours chatting and laughing with him! Nikos, Martyna, George, Fotis and Mattheos at the main pool bar were equally friendly and up for a good time and a laugh!

On the day of departure we were able to keep our room until 6pm, after paying 50 euros to do so, but this was easier than using the shower room provided and gave us more time to pack so we would recommend doing this.

Overall, we had a spectacular fortnight, mainly thanks to the brilliant staff and the high standard of every aspect of the hotel. We are considering returning next year and would recommend to a group of any age range that this would be the hotel to go to!

We stayed here for 11nights in June 2013 , and although I was worried looking at a, the reviews, and b, the size of it, I was very impressed.
We were transeffered by coach within 1/2 hour & We arrived to a very warm welcome , and asked if we wanted to leave our bags at reception to quickly eat in the restaurant which was closing shortly (10pm). This was greatly received as we had 2 children with us in need of a liitle bedtime snack., and a glass of wine for me after a 4 hour flight with little ones , good as they were!
We were transeffered by coach within 1/2 hour &taken to our room by golf buggy and the room , was fine. Big enough family room , for a double, single and a cot. ( some rooms on the ground floor appeared to have a partition and possibly larger , but I preferred the privacy being up on the first floor, otherwise nosy people like me , peer in all the time I imagine!).

The first few days were very peaceful and no issues with sunbeds , but as time went on there was the bagging of sunbeds. Needing shade for the children , I hate to confess I joined in , and was towelling at 7am, and even then not many left!!! I think this is an issue the hotel needs to address , as we were round the pool by 8-9, but some beds were still not used , but with towells on till lunchtime. I was tempted to throw them in the pool!
The top pool is perfect for small children as very shallow , and actually the quieter pool. Games and stuff in middle pool.
Mini water park on site a good draw too.
The beach is at the entrance to the hotel across a road , but its not busy and we didnt test beach as pool area was perfect for us.However the sunsets are definatley worth a look on beach in evening.

The food was , as with all AI , repetitive towards the end , but it was excellent quality, preparation was top notch , and baby warming microwave and steriliser in restaurant too, so dont pack sterilising tablets...

The kids club was impressive and so much so my daughter went in twice some days. if you go with Thomas Cook , its free aside from the parties which are excellent value , and the chocolate party a must for little ones. MY ONLY COMPLAINT THOMAS COOK , is we were under the impression there was a baby sitting service , the hotel knew nothing of this , and I think this should be looked into , as even an hour or two for parents to dine out alone would be a godsend!
Animation team work their socks off and some acts were the best weve seen in this type of holiday.

Weather was amazing, hotel spotlessly clean , rooms cleaned daily. Would definatley go back but not straight away as like to try new places.

Personally , I wouldnt bother to upgrade to the pool suites , they were to the side of reception and didnt have the best outlook, typical greek scrubland with noisy dogs and chickens( thats what our front door opened to but we had a fab pool & partial sea view.

Our 5 year old daughter cried all way back to airport, so for a family holiday sucess what else can I say!
very quiet spot, so not for a party blow out , but perfect for couples and families. Also not many English , which we like!!

Room Tip: Nearer reception good , top pool. lower rooms by amhitheatre and noisy till around midnight.
