“Excellent! Fantastic Hotel! Great holiday!”
Reviewed 17 October 2013

We got back from a weeks holiday to the Stella Palace on the 15th October and absolutely loved our stay. Me, my girlfriend and 18 month old son had a brilliant time and found the hotel to be pretty faultless. It is clear to see the hotel is pretty new. The hotels looks and cleanliness are 10/10. The. Staff were superb and were really great with our boy. All inclusive food was good with lots of variety but the a la carte restaurant (Asian one, we never got the chance to go to the other one) was absolutely top class. We were lucky enough to go twice during our stay. I have previously done 5* in cancun and this was better. Pool areas are second to none. It's hard to the think of negatives really about the hotel itself. The only small downside was the location. It's on the sea front (private beach) but there isn't really anything else nearby. It costs 12 euros (each way) to get into hersonissos which is the nearest town. It has shop, bars, restaurants etc. This didn't really bother us as we tended to stay in the hotel anyway with having a little'en.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly families. We would definitely go back

We went as a party of 8, 5 adults and 3 children. The pools were lovely and lots of them. Very clean resort. Never mind the russians being rude with no manners, there was a party of geordies who were an absolute nightmare, shame they were there the whole time we were , they let the british side down. The entertainment was okay, Zulu made us laugh a lot especially at darts. The al a carte restaurants were lovely especially the asian, mind you the geordies came in and spoilt the atmosphere with there loud unruly behaviour. The little village of analipsi is lovely. greek people very friendly. Bus services to other towns were excellent, conducters on bus very helpful. Beach area was small, they could do the other part of beach up to make it better. We had family rooms which were very clean and spacious, cleaned every day, staff very friendly. Overall a lovely place.

Room Tip: ask for room with pool view.

Friendly, helpful staff, good service, cleanliness. Bed was a little hard, could do with a mattress top to soften. Excellent food - taste (although they tend to use a little too much salt) and variety, something for everyone. But could so with more fresh fruit. Gourmet restaurants were very good. We went all inclusive in October 2013 and were offered 1 dinner in each restaurant. Good ambience. Entertainment was good. Several pools so although the hotel was full you didn't feel it as pools were spread out. Drinks on all inclusive not as good, otherwise lots of better choice if you are willing to pay. Very good for families. Only thing I would say is that for a 5 star hotel you would expect free WiFi - not expensive to purchase 5 euros for 2 hours, but you would think it would be free (I've had free WiFi in 3 star hotels!). Otherwise can't really fault.

Room Tip: All rooms, except for the ones with their own pool, have a pool view. Hotel is spread out so if you...

We went to Stella Palace for two weeks, me, my husband & my 2 teenagers age 14 & 16. We had a lovely time, Hotel is very nice but not 5 star more like a 4 star. Pools are brilliant but the only problem is that my Daughter had cut her foot on the hand rail going into the pool near the Bar. The hand rail on the bend is very sharp & all the manager did was that he put some antiseptic lotion on her foot. We wasn't happy with the service for my Daughter's care & all they did was put cable ties around the hand rail & the Manager said that they couldn't empty the pool because it will upset all the holiday makers. All I can say just be very careful near that rail in the pool. The Food was alright, very good most of the time, Deserts not the best but a few was alright. The maids cleaned are room everyday & there was clean towels too. Great view to the pools. Some of the Entertainment was great but some nights wasn't. The Russians were very rude, disrespectful & no manners, they push in queues while waiting for your food & at the Bars. All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday

My wife, 2 year daughter and I stayed at Stella Palace Resort from September 12th to September 19th. This resort is fantastic! The entertainment is good and food is amazing. I was concerned as we are vegetarians but we had plenty of choice and the Tzatziki and the cheese pizza was amazing in poseidon (the buffet restaurant). Since the food in the main restaurant was soooo good, we only went to one a la carte restaurant. We went to the non Asian a la carte one and it was amazing. The only suggestion I have for improvement in the main restaurant is that they need to close the doors by the Crepe station as this does lead to a few flies around the buffett.

The pools were clean and the entertainment for adults and kids was amazing. The beach was okay. I would definitely recommend the train ride around Hersonissos early on in the trip as this will help you get your bearing around the town.

Family friendly, not 5 star (more like 4 star) no good for animal lovers. Lots of stray cats and dogs. They should train their staff how to deal with this (i.e. NOT just kicking the animals in the ribs). Room 805 is quite private with it's own pool and a portion of sea view. It is little over looked, it isn't silent but was the farthest away from screaming children. The food always tasted great and didn't make me ill. None of the food was labelled vegan, sometimes a vegetarian sign was provided, often food was unlabelled. It was very worrying that none of the kitchen staff of waiters knew what was or wasn't vegetarian. I was told the jelly was vegetarian even though it was made from beef gelatin. The sunsets are stunning and the gardener does a fantastic job. There is wifi but only in the reception and is patchy at best. I don't advise going to the knossos palace. The Santorini trip is long but worth it. The stella village reception staff treat you like you are something scraped of the bottom of their shoe.

Room Tip: 805 is the best

I went with my husband and 4 yr old son-we were late on arrival and there was a Buffett laid on-taken by golf cart to our very spacious and immaculately clean room - the pools are lovely and the pirate ship is perfect for kids-food is okay-but people must remember is all inclusive-not all you can eat! If you want more you can always go back up to get more!! All the staff were friendly as we're be guests-French Russian and British! Infact the Russians were more friendly than some British guests! The all inclusive beer is okay-but don't expect a full pint-it's refreshing but quite weak! You won't get drink on it!!! If you want to get drunk stick to spirits! I only have one complaint and that's to do with the Thomas cook entertainment... It's not good-the hotel animation team is much better-they may be a little ameteur but considering the different audience they have to perform for I bought they were excellent! Thomas cook need to sort their entertainment out-most I them looked liked they didn't want to be there! And we didn't see our rep once!!! All in all stella place is a lovely holiday destination-I would go there again-maybe not as an all inclusive guest as I found that we felt obliged to go and eat even when we weren't hungry-but that's not the hotels fault! We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you stella place!
