Reviewed 11 August 2010

Although it's an older hotel that resembles an "Austin powers" movie location, i must say that we completely enjoyed our one week vacation!! The rooms were spacious enough and the maid service cleaned every day, the location good, the breakfast buffet totally satisfactory, with great -and healthy- variety. The maitre d' mr. Tasos, an amazingly smiling and kindhearted professional, i have never met in any other of the hotels i've been all around the world. Same as the other people, the waiters, the people in concierge, even the maids. They made us feel like home!. One simple example: On my first day in the breakfast buffet, they asked me what type of coffee i like and ever since, whenever i went to have breakfast, my coffee, was on the table..without even having to say anything!! This kind of professionalism i have found only in very expensive five stars hotels!
The only downside for me, is that the wireless service is only available in the lobby(??!!). but as a general comment i would definitely stay again in my next trip to Corfu!!!.. Highly recommended hotel with an amazing value for money!!!!

We were delayed in corfu by a cancelled easy jet flight and put into this hotel on full board for 2 nights. Hotel is very off the beaten track - ok for a couple of days, but would be very disappointed if I had booked my whole holiday here. Lunch and dinner was very good, but breakfast disappointing. There is nothing to do in the area around the hotel and it was very quiet in the hotel. Rooms were good, but do ask for a room at the front. Our room at the back was over the kitchen and the smells meant we could not have the balcony door open. The rest of our party were at the fornt overlooking the pool and that was much better.

This hotel probably was a good pick some years back. The building and the rooms look old and lack maintenance. Its location near the airport may be convenient to business travelers, but doesn't provide any interesting views or easy access to the island's attractions. The staff is not friendly at all. The guys at front desk need a course in smiling, not to mention one in being helpful. Since WiFi is available only at the lobby, I had to get up early in the morning and go there to call home. And when I had to use a power plug one morning, one of the unfriendliest guys there told me I was blocking access to the PC they have for guests to access the Internet (for a charge). Of course, there was no one around at that time. Breakfast was boring and unhealthy (no fresh fruit, no real juice). And it definitely is too expensive for what they have to offer.

We stayed here as part of a Contiki "Superior" tour.

The property is very nice and clean. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. There isn't a lot of space to lounge by the pool, so get there early if you in the the busy season.

The only real downside is that there isn't much around the hotel and it's a bit of a hike to the main town of Corfu. We rented a SUV one day though and drove to Glyfada beach - a must do if in Corfu. (Approx. 30-45 min from hotel by car.)

One thing we learned while on the island is that there are literally NO do-it-yourself laundry facilities, and it is quite expensive to get it done at the hotel. So if you're staying here as part of a Contiki tour, be sure to do your laundry BEFORE you get to the island!

The room was clean and very comfortable, it had a garden view. The location of the hotel was very convinient, was near the center of the area Kanoni and few minutes away form the Corfu town. There was available bus just outside the hotel and at the hotel shop you could find bus tickets. The "problem" with the hotel is that there is only 1 restaurant and is the 1 that we have our breakfast. The swimming pool is small and the pool areas it's not so big and it doesn't offers you activities.

Stayed at Divani for 2 days through a group tour. It is on top of the hills and quite a bit of distance to the city centre about 15 minutes by vehicle. There is however a bus stop near that takes you to the centre. From the outside the hotel doesnt look terribly exciting however once you enter the foyer is quite modern and spacious. The front desk was couteous and helpful. The room and bathroom are quite good as well. Again it was spacious and clean. We had a balcony however it was overlooking forest. Not the best in terms of views. The buffet breakfast and dinner I would have to say was fantastic. There was a great variety of food and even had gelati. Impressive indeed.
There is a simming pool area and bar, great place to relax and unwind.

Overall I thought the hotel was fantastic if you want a hideaway place and dont mind taking the bus to the city centre. The breakfast/dinner was very good indeed. I would definitely recommend to anyone. However if your looking for great views or the beach at your door step then its not the place to stay.

I just came back from Corfu palace where i stayed for a wedding. the price we got was really good due to the fact that the bride had booked many rooms for friends and family and got a great deal.
The hotel needs major renovation in its public spaces, It is sooo old fashioned with worn carpets and so much unusable space and unattractive lounges to sit on free time.
The rooms though where really nice, spacious and clean with all the expected amenities. What was missing was a toilet brush and the garbidge bin in the bathroom had no lid on it so there were no sanitary options!! And something else!! They had NO double beds in any of the rooms!! They just stick together 2 twins without even connecting them somehow with sheets or something!!
The breakfast had a good variety but I found that the items where a bit tasteless....
The hotel gets a 4 from me because of the room's comodities and the correspondanse of price we got and value

  • Liked — room's view
  • Disliked — sanitary issues in bathroom
