Hotel was super clean , staff tried to be helpful as much as they could. We visited this hotel last year April, it was a perfect weather , although it was quite cold in the evenings. Ask for extra blanket.
Hotel has a private beach, which is very clean. The main picture you see on this site is the view from the breakfast balcony, so imagine what a nice morning you will get.

Food for breakfast is lovely. Service is good. restaurant manager Mike is a legend. Took us out to the city after his working hours.

Town center is quite far about 20 min with a bus. Bus stop is just outside the hotel, buses goes every 20min. Town center is amazing, quality food places, very authentic, fortress and much more. (bus ticket £1.5 euro ,taxi £5 euros)

Don't need to book transfer to the airport because the airport is about 10min away, and you can even see the tracks from the hotel.

Boat trips to the center is very nice thing to do, you only need to walk 3min to the nearest boat and rent it out for like 20 euros and you will have an amazing fishing boat trip to the centre that last about 45 min.

Overall is is nice clean hotel and Corfu is amazing town, we are deferentially coming back one day !

Reading the mixed reviews before, I was a bit apprehensive about the hotel.
There is truth that some rooms (ours included) are a little tired and you could pick holes. However, the staff of the "Hotel" (that bit is very important... see later) were all excellent. The cleaner was very thorough and kept the room tidy and clean. The Reception staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, they all had a great proffesional manner about them and were very friendly. The Pool staff were really good and the waiter's were polite and efficient, Dimitris especially had an old school natural charm about him, which my 7 year old son loved.
We did have a room overlooking the lake/planes, but i saw no problem with that and the noise was totally non existent when we closed the door.
The pool is amazing and manages to be very kid friendly without stirring kids into a screaming frenzy with slides etc...
The views from the room, the entrance, the restaurants, pool or beach are stunning, really stunning.

There are two area's which i found out are ran seperatly to the hotel and it stuck out like a sore thumb. Unless these are addressed by the management my advice would be to steer well clear of them. They are:
1). Tennis - advertised as Free, but you have to ring a guy called Mr Phil and then have to pay him to use the courts (10Euro's). Im guessing once upon a time he was enthusiastic about the courts, from my experience, that has certainly worn off. I planned to play with my son daily, but only used it the once due to that.

2). Bowling - Stay well away from this. You will see it advertised as "Free Bowling when you buy a drink". I got 2 beers (in the hotel they are 4 euros each) and one Juice. The guy said pay later after the game, then said it was 21Euro's. At £17 in Sterling, this is expensive for london prices. The guy (big unit with chest hair poking out the top of his T-shirt) probably wonders why no-one goes back for a 2nd, 3rd or 4th night. Questioned it with him and he was abrupt and rude, hence no more money spent with his business, despite my son desperate to go back.

for me these were the only 2 area's where the hotel let me down, it may be contracted out, but they should still manage the contractors to be in line with their phillosphy. If it was not for these two area's I would have to mark it as excellent as the break otherwise really was.

Room Tip: Choose 4th floor or above and stay clear on bungalows

I had doubts before booking this hotel because of the mixed reviews here, I'll try to sum it up:
Thumbs up for:
1. A beautiful beach and pool, with an amazing view of the bay
2. Good an varied food each day
3. Bus station in the entrance to hotel which takes you alll the way to the city for 1.5 Euros (each way).
4. A few good restaurants close by the hotel whithin walking distance.

Thumbs down for:
1. No water facets anywhere in the hotel, which makes you buy a bottle each meal for 2 Euros.
2. Half of the rooms are facing the airport which is noisy, however the double glazing windows block most of the noise.
3. No shade in the pool at all, not enough chairs in the pool, no toddlers pool in this hotel.
4. Some furniture in the hotel and in the room is there since the 70's, e.g. the elevators, the radio beside the bed, a very old TV (not even a flat screen), and the general design.

Button line: The hotel is worth it's price, the staff are nice and helpful. However don't expect it to be a 5 stars since it is definately not, closer to an ok 4 stars (It used to be Hilton Corfu in the 70's maybe back then it was a 5 stars)

Room Tip: Choose a room not facing the north since it is facing the airport.

The hotel is very decent and clean, employees friendly and helpful. Our room on the 7th floor was very spacious and with a beautiful view. Yes, there was a noise from a near-by airport but, honestly, it didn't bother us (who spends that much time in the hotel room anyway?) The few times we did spend on our balcony - it was actually some fun to watch the very-low-flying planes come and go.
Our only disappointment was food, especially dinner buffets very disgusting, definitely NOT as a 5 star should be!

Room Tip: Get a higher floor sea view room!

We found this hotel (described as 5-star) on a map we bought at Corfu airport. My wife needed to stay three nights before moving on.
It cost over E150 per night + extras.
The place is scarcely due one or maybe two stars.
The bungalow was under the flight-path and it was impossible to go to sleep before midnight. The wake up call was at seven.
The food was buffet-style, ridiculously expensive and bore no resemblance to what should be suppiled in a five star hotel. (which, by the way should have 24-hour room service, a service that did not exist).
A complet rip-off.
And we are grecophiles!

We stayed at the hotel for about a week and our trip was an unforgettable experience. Corfu Holiday Palace is full of trees and grass and we really enjoyed the amazing view of the open sea. The rooms were exeptionally clean and so were all the other rooms such as the diner and the swimming pool areas. The staff was really polite and helpful and the great variety of the food applyed to every taste. We found interesting the dinners which were based on different national traditions and we really enjoyed nights at the bar where everyone was really joyful and energetic.
