This past September we stayed at this hotel through our tour company Greeka.com.( which by the way was awesome) When you walk in the door ,you are greeted by a friendly staff member all part of the family that owns the hotel. It is a very clean and well maintained small family owned hotel on the island of Paros. The rooms were nice size with balconies facing the pool and sea. From your balcony, you can see the island of Naxos. It has a huge pool and plenty of deck with plenty of chairs. The rooms are simple and typical of the Grecian minimalist style in the islands. Effie ,the owner ,will go out of her way to accommodate you and help with any request. Breakfast was a nice spread every morning. Upon our arrival the first day, we had missed breakfast and it was lunchtime almost. She went out of her way and prepared us these awesome greek salads and fresh local bread and some wine ...and we were in heaven. We were there for 3 days and felt like we were with family. There is a huge lobby laid out like a huge living room with nice TV and reading area. Between the pool area and the great room, not to mention all there is to explore, you are rarely in the room. When you are in your room, you are on the balcony staring out at the beautiful sea . We saw some gorgeous sunsets and sunrises right from our balcony. As for the surrounding area, the beautiful Golden Beach in 5-10 min walk depending on your state of mobility. There are chairs already there and little tiki umbrellas. For anyone interested in water sports such as paddle boarding or windsurfing ,this is your island . We were there off season, but it is a Mecca for water sports in the summer. My only problem was that we were there off season ,and I wish I had known a lot of the restaurants and shops close down for the season. Without a car, you are dependent on public transportation that also is limited due to the season. My understanding the area is hopping during the summer and buses pass frequently . We were there to relax so hanging at the beach and hotel was not a problem. This place made me feel like I was in true Greece. Everyone was so friendly all around the island. Effie called a taverna up the street from the hotel closed for the season. Taverna Nicolas opened for us for lunch and it was awesome. Effie another time had her nephew take us to a neighboring village for dinner at her brother's place where we ate dinner at a seaside table. We sat there listening to the waves crash against the rocks ,gazing out towards Naxos sipping the local wine while our food was being prepared. The food and service were amazing as well as reasonably priced. All in all, our experience at this hotel was nothing but excellent. As of note, this area of Paros is isolated and 25 min from the bigger towns . If you are looking for quiet and relaxing, this is your place. If you like to walk out of your hotel and have action, stay in one of the small towns. As for us , we just took a bus into town when we wanted to explore and shop. If we were to return to Paros, we would definitely return to this hotel. I couldn't imagine not going back to see Effie's beautiful smiling face welcoming us back.
Thank- you Effie and family for making our time in Paros such a memorable experience . Your warmness touched our hearts.
